    Subpar

The menu is overpriced for Mexican food, the service was inconsistent, and the paella was bland. The atmosphere could have been lovely if not for the boisterous crowd. I couldn't even hear the person sitting directly across from me.

    Fiesta Place

We celebrate new year's eve at Tio Pepe with my friends and was fun, specially the lovely garden.

Food was Great but seating wasn't

Highly recommended by my mom that NEVER likes to go out to eat. The food was great but honestly just be careful where you are seated. We were seated in the front by the window which we thought was very nice until another couple sat right next to us, might has well put both tables together. Our Server couldn't even get to us so we ended up waiting forever for our drinks, side dishes, forget about dessert we just wanted out of there...Don't think they'll be a next time for us which is so sad because the food was great! oh well that's what happens when you want to seat 50 people in a area for 25.

    Bad Experience

Me and 2 of my friends just had lunch there today and it was very unsatisfactory. I have been living in Manhattan for over 7 years and never was so unsatisfied. The waiter had to ask us what we ordered 3 times...and he still got it wrong. (he should have wrote it down) He brought out the wrong salad for me..brought out a chicken dish that none of us ordered and he completely forgot to bring my other friend's food. My friend ate the chicken anyway because we were so hungry and tired of waiting. then after the 2 of us were done eatting he brought out the 3rd persons food. She couldnt even chew the meat...so it wasn't even worth the wait. Do Not Eat Here! Trust me! I am saving you much aggravation. We are now ordering lunch into the office because we are all still hungry and annoyed.

    Where I met my love...

After a hard day at work, I decided to stop into this charming place for one of their exceptional margaritas, which I have heard so much about. By myself- I ordered a coconut margarita with some nachos to go with it. It was the perfect ending to a hard day at work, the food was amazing, not to mention the very tasty margarita. I will continue to stop in after work, with my friends and with my boyfriend- whom I met that first night at Tio Pepe's!

    Unfortunately - never again

My girlfriend and I went on a Friday night because we were impressed with the atmosphere and great menu. We were seated immediately and our drinks were served right away. We only ordered 1 appetizer (fried calamari) and 1 entree (the daily special - paella). Engrossed in watching the ballgame on TV we did not realize that 45 minutes had passed and we still were not served. When we asked the waiter how much longer - he "did not know" and went to check on our order. He returned 10 minutes later and said "he still did not know". Being patient and a never complaining customer, I waited a little longer thinking the food should come any minute now. It never came! After exactly one hour and 15 minutes later and not wanting my girl to starve to death we had to leave and look for another place. At that point the waiter wanted us to wait while he got the mgr. We chose not to wait a second more. Although other peoples food looked good, we will never know and never care to find out. The service is not good! I almost still left a tip for the drinks we ordered until my girl shot me the look of death!

    Boyfriends Birthday

I went to Tio Pepe last Saturday after hearing great reviews about this restaurant. We were seated right away, as I made reservations. Initially they seated us in a corner table, which if you were not Claustrophobic would have been great. So they proceded to sit us in a separate dining area. The table was so small it barely had room for the food we ordered. We ordered Sangria's and they were definitely not the best. For dinner we had chicken Fajitas. Needless to say we have had better. I told the waiter I wanted a cake for my boyfriend's for his birthday and he forgot about it and just brought out the check. He was in a hurry and paid no attention. I would not recommend going to this restaurant if you really enjoy Mexican food.
