Timmy's By The River
Posted by Marc S. on 06/27/2014
The owner is a little grumpy. You would think when an entire group of boys come in he would be happy to have the business, not afraid they would cause a commotion, which they did not. They were very well behaved, it was the adults upset at the cold and small waffles, poorly cooked french toast, wet breakfast burrito....running eggs and guacamole coming out of it and just overall slow and poor service. They might not make it if they don't improve quickly, especially with the dump opening up nextdoor.

We typically order in although we occasionally visit Timmy's in person. The food is always reasonable or cheap, the service is quick, fast and effective, and on the few occasions they messed up an item in our delivery order, they rectify it quickly and without hassle. A definite keeper in our list of go-to UES eats.

A new neighbor suggested Timmy's the day I recently moved here (6 months ago) already, and was kind enough to give me her menu and told me to order the spinach pie which she loves, well I did and I love it as well, plus everything else I order.I have been a very satisfied customer ever since. a great place to go or order in...many thanks....

The best thing about eating here is -- Don't. Bad food, overpriced, lousy service and a bad attitude. Great for parents who allow their spoiled brats to run around screaming.

Timmy's isn't gonna be a 5 star destination, but for 91st and York, it works very well. Even dishes like the fish and pasta are done beyond what one would expect from a diner (which is more or less what it is).

I tried this place for the first time and I really liked the food and the service. This place has a lot of choices to choose from just like any other diner but this is a unique diner. I like that they offer bread while you are waiting to order. Most places do not offer that. It really is a hidden gem to go for some wholesome food. If they offered a view of the river while you ate, this place would be perfect. Also I did enjoy the music selection BUT couldn't really enjoy it because of the noise from children and senior citizens. Next time, I must ask to be seated in the back. Maybe then I will be able to enjoy it to the fullest.

I order regularly and Timmy's is one of the best diners around. Great value on food and quick service. The salads are fabulous and so is the spinach pie. Glad they are in the hood.
