    Boring Food with Peculiar Service

Large portions of attractively presented food in a blah decor. The food was consistently starchy and bland with little variation in flavors from dish to dish. But it was cheap. The service, however, was quite disconcerting: Simple requests, such as one for utensils, were not met; waiters wandered around without purpose, then suddenly spurted into very busy and officious action, then wandered again; and strangely, the bill was presented halfway through the meal, although we had not asked for it and the restaurant was only moderately full. The waiter actually asked us to pay the bill several times and hovered near our table until we did. We will not return.

    great food, embarassingly bad service

Ate here recently w/ a friend and was very impressed by the depth and variety of flavors, for a very decent price. We ate quickly, in spite of having ordered a lot, and were in the middle of a clearly intense conversation over tea (this lasted all of THREE minutes after they cleared our plates) when they interrupted my friend mid-sentence and asked us to leave because others were waiting. With tea still in our glasses. Clearly it was busy, and we weren't planning to stay forever, but still, that's just rude. It was a really unfortunate end to an otherwise tasty meal, but when people are that rude, you don't want to return...

    Far from disappointing

I've been to this restaurant many times and I can't say that I ever had a bad experience. The food is always fresh and the flavors are delightfully complex, which is what I really like most about Indian food. The person who rated before me must have had a bad experience and/or caught them on a bad day(which any restaurant will most likely have at least one off day out of 365 ). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves good quality vegetarian Indian food on the cheap!

    Disappointing

Gave this place a shot as Copper Chimney across the street was closed (it was about 2:30pm). The interior was surprisingly trendy looking, and the price was reasonable, but unfortunately the food wasn't very good. The okra and dal were not very tasty, and the pakora in yogurt sauce were just passable. The only sweet offering was jalebi, which tasted like it had been fried in old oil. Won't be coming back here again...

Best Indian lunch buffet in town!

Amazing place for lunch. The food is excellent and the service fast and friendly. Love it here!

    Tomatoes galore...

Went there for lunch over the weekend. Dosas and iddli was good however, the Malai Kofta and Saag Paneer were way too tangy, the only flavor in the dish was that of canned tomatoes. Very disappointing North indian food.

    A big letdown

This was my my third visit to the restaurant in 4 weeks, however I was appalled by the poor service and attitude of the restaurant this time. We were served our appetisers and main course within 2 minutes. Thus each of us were holding our main courses in our hands while we ate the appetisers (no- they refused to serve us the main course after a few minutes). The mgt was super arrogant and rude. The food was extra spicy and when we asked them about it, they told us to read the menus properly the next time we ordered. The dining experience was a complete letdown. There are better, nicer places around the block.
