great place for breakfast in Manhattan
My brother and I ate breakfast at the Tick Tock Diner, located in the New Yorker Hotel building on 8th Ave., two mornings. It was the best value and the two most enjoyable meals we had out. The diner interior is all windows, cityscape paintings and chrome. Sitting on the corner of 8th and 34th, a stones throw from Madison Square Garden, gave it the feel of an authentic Manhattan classic. It is open 24/7, and it has a very expansive menu. I had eggs Benedict the first day, and though the poached eggs and Canadian were cooked perfectly, the Hollandaise sauce was a little bland. My brother had Belgian waffles each day and they were very fine. I had one on the second day with a side of strawberries. The fruit was sweet and fresh. The coffee was outstanding too. I thought the service was good, close to great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the theater or garment district.

Classic NY Diner
We are from Melbourne (Aus) and were in NYC for our honeymoon, stumbled across this diner after saying for days that we were really after a classic NY diner like from the old movies - we found it! Loved everything about it, the decor, the service, the buzz, the vibe, the food. The exchange rate was crappy at the time - so everything seemed expensive to us - but with the exchange rate now - cheap as chips! Everyone should go here - we are coming back next year for sure!

NY Best Kept Secret
I have been coming to NY for years. I always thought this diner was closed, since you can't see inside the tinted windows. One day I saw a lady open the door to go in. I went in after her. Loved this place. The food and service were perfect! I live in Philly. Can't wait to to back!

Sometimes they'll deliver, sometimes they won't
Half the time I call this place they'll deliver to me, the rest of the time it's too far away. The food is never worth it when they DO deliver. It's soggy and overpriced. NEVER calling them again.

subpar sausage
Let's start with the service cuz that's the only good thing about this place. The waiter was very nice and friendly. I ordered scrambled eggs and sausage...simple enough, you can't really go wrong...or can you? The sausage didn't taste anything remotely like sausage. Can't even describe it. The potatoes were slightly undercooked. The only thing that was ok was the eggs and toast.
