Tick Tock Diner

Service is not all that bad but needs improvement. I think we once had to leave without leaving a tip. But in the long run I find the food really decent the atmosphere comfortable and the prices avarage but portions really good.

I am at the Tick Tock all the time. We know the owners and the service is always great. The food is always the best and there is PLENTY! The atmosphere is comfortable and it is clean!

Been to this diner and just couldn't feel more overwhelmed by the arrogance people treat you there. The waiters are clearly overloaded with the work they take and service is compromised. It is a busy place, due to its location. The food is of nothing special, and the prices are overrated. The place appeals more to the decor than to the service or food they cater. Watch out for "Hidden fees".

The atmosphere was typical 'diner' ambiance. The walls had a beautiful iridescent mosaic on them that I thought was enchanting. The food was a bit above average. If you sit in the right seat you get a nice view of the hustle and bustle on the street. The Tollhouse chocolate chip pancakes are top notch. Yum. They give you large servings so be sure to come hungry!

I visited NYC back in April 2004 and could not get enough of this place! The food was great, the service great and the atmosphere brilliant! A true typical US diner and it made my NYC trip complete. Would recommend the Grand Slam Pancakes for Breaky and the Fruit Cup.

The service at Tick Tock as you may have already read is pretty awful most of the time however it's convience outweighs the negatives most of the time. The food usually varies from good to okay.
