I ordered 3 different types of pancakes and only plain ones without the maple syrup. They were dry and unappetizing. The omelets did not have the mushrooms and spinach I ordered. They were plain eggs. The bread was soggy and the salads were tasty.

Low quality and pricey. How should I begin? The Macaronchini balls were cold inside and had way too much cream in the sauce. The sushi had a mealy texture and clearly utilized the lowest quality fish although artfully rolled. The mashed potatoes were very bland. I've eaten more flavorful mashed potatoes at a school cafeteria. For dessert, I had the deep fried Oreos which at $12 rivals the price of desserts at a fine dining establishment which this place clearly isn't. Lastly, the ice cream that was served with the fried Oreos had ice crystals in it and was of a very low quality. The service was just OK, but the waitress was so lifeless that I am not sure how she keeps her job. The fact that the owner has a captive clientele of a Jewish women's college across the street may have created a moral hazard in his mindset and caused him to lower the food quality and preparation. There is no excuse for such poor food.

It's more of a place I'd go for a date or business meal than to grab a bite. Their food is yummy. Some things are great, others are decent. It's a bit pricy for the amount of food but it's a nice atmosphere in the middle of midtown.

My friend threw a birthday dinner here because we all keep kosher and it's a great location. I've always liked the food but some of their policies are asinine. They made my group wait until 8 of 10 of us showed up- they wouldn't seat 7 of us for 20 minutes and the table was sitting there, empty and set for us. No manager was present to speak to. They charge for everything- even a candle in a birthday dessert. If I don't have to, I doubt I'll go back.

We had been here before, and enjoyed the salads/soups, as well as the old-fashioned atmosphere and extensive menu options. But, like the previous time, the service was sub-par. Last time it was very slow; this time the server had no interest in providing service. As a result we are unlikely to return, especially as there are, as of now, other options in this neighborhood for the kosher consumer.

We had a reservation for a large group but they didn't have the reservation when we got there. It was ok though, because they had the tables available. But make sure you get a name when you make a reservation. Service was pretty good except they gave our mains right after giving out our appetizers. They didn't wait. The french onion soup was a very large portion. It was ok, but there was an interesting flavor to it. All in all, we had a great time.

The waiters are slow, and don't do anything unless you wait around and call for them for ten minutes. We just got a chocolate soufflé and it was clearly just warmed up and it was not good at all. Their service is so bad.
