My wife and I have eaten here many times out of convenience since we live close by. We don't think it's as good as many of the other diners in Hell's Kitchen, but we had a $50 gift certificate, which they generously donated to a local school. The food is OK, but they don't offer waffle fries, like many other diners in the area. The lettuce was fresh, but they gave me a tomato slice with the stem end of the tomato. What's up with that? I certainly don't want to chew into that if I put this on my burger. The waitress was slow, and chuckled at us when we said we didn't want our veggie burgers with cheese or cole slaw. When I said I didn't want the cole slaw at all, she said, "they'll just put it in the side." All that aside, the real reason I am only giving this place one star is because after we ordered ca. $20 worth of food, we asked if we could have credit toward our next meal, since we didn't even use 1/2 of our gift certificate. after ten minutes of waiting, the waitress comes back and says that the gift certificate is only good for one meal, no matter how much we spend or eat. This is NOT how it's usually done, at least with other diners in the neighborhood. It seems like if they are going to offer $50 credit, they should offer that, and not try to cheap out of giving what they donate. We asked for the manager. The manager comes over and is incredibly rude. He slams his finger on the gift certificate and says. "it says right here: no cash value." Maybe he has a point, but what we really think is that he doesn't want to donate the full amount. What a jerk. Between this experience, the so-so service, the average-quality food, the rude manager and the waitress who laughed at us, we will NOT be going back. Our final verdict: take your business elsewhere!

I have lived nearby for years, order in frequently and occasionally dine in. Hands down the best quality for the price, always timely delivery, lots of condiments. I don't need the slaw or the slimy pickle in a sandwich bag with my order (I've asked but they always seem to end up with my order) but that's nit-picking.

My husband and I have been ordering from and dining here for years. Menu offers a great selection and food is consistently good and pleasing (try the lentil soup!). We've tried out other diners in the area, but always happily return to the Theatre Row!

the waiter made mistake and then he said "ok, whatever!!!" he didn't say "oh sorry i made a mistake or anything" and then he rolled his eyes and walked away i think the food is excelent but the waiters need to turn it down a noch with the attitude!!!

i doubt i will go back even though they have low priced breakfast specials. i ordered the 3 pancakes with coffee and orange juice $4.95 plus tax. i was hungry so i ordered the breakfast. i was seated soon after i walked in. the waiter took my order about 3 minutes after sitting down. i got my cup of coffee and orange juice pretty fast. i had to wait a while for the pancakes. they were cold, tuff and not to good. even for a diner the food wasnt good. even worse was the service i had to ask the cashier for a second cup of coffee then the bus boy for a third because the waiter decided to take a break and didnt care about me or did anyone else. the cups are to small.

Two breakfasts and we love the ambiance and the service. Today the waiter remembered that my daughter wanted milk and splenda with coffe and that I wanted tobasco. They were very quick as we were running late both mornings. Food is copious and failrly good. No surprises. Will return.
