Our server was attentive and enthusiastic, drinks were well made, and the food was quite good, especially my fried chicken and my son's pan seared prime strip loin. I will admit, however that the bread-rolls, unevenly heated and seemingly store-bought, were an odd touch. Still, a good meal in an attractive location, and worth a return visit, especially if we can dine in the book-lined backroom.

Tried to make reservations on Tuesday, for Saturday, told only 5:30 (time restaurant opens) was available. It was President's weekend and Valentine's Day, so we gave them one. However, as we learned later through observation, I think they just wanted to fill up seats as early as possible and save room for walk-ins. Not cool. We got there at 5:30. They took our coats, said we could each have out own hangar because our coats were wet. Really. After that we stood around. The hostesses were too busy on phone to show us to our table, even though we were the only people in the restaurant. Also, it was a lousy table. We could have found it, or one like it, or even a better one, ourselves. Wait staff was excellent, Food OK, not great. To be fair, it was snowing, so I"m sure there were cancellations. Of course, we had asked to be told if there were cancellations, in which case we would have been glad to arrive later in the evening. We're not coming back, even though we live close by, and this could have been our go to place. We told them and they offered to "Make it up to us." Not sure what that means, not interested to find out, either. So- what was this-- the early bird special?

A really beautiful place with attentive staff but my veal meat loaf tasted exactly like what you would get in a Greek coffee shop. Plus, the waitress suggested a side because the mashed sweet potatoes that came with it was more of a garnish than a side. So I ordered hand-cut french fries that came drenched in salt. My wife had rotisserie chicken that was okay. The best things were the shrimp appetizer and the apple pie dessert. I doubt we'll be back.

Have been there twice - once for just drinks with friends - great vibe, awesome bartenders and amazing beer list. Came back with my husband for dinner and the food was amazing - the fried chicken is not to be missed! Excellent addition to the neighborhood!

Until now, there hasn't been a place on the UES that my girlfriends and I can go to have a nice glass of wine but also have fun on a Saturday night. I've eaten dinner here and have come just for drinks and both have been great. The gnocchi, smoked white fish appetizer and funnel cake are all ridiculously good, the service is impeccable (also the whole staff is really hot, very important, of course), and it's just a really fun, cool crowd. Highly recommend!

Loved it! Went with a few girlfriends of mine and we sat at the bar. The bartender was so nice! We ordered the fried sweet potatoes, the white fish salad with caviar, the gnocchi (amazing!!) and the ribs. Everything was so delicious. Great vibe, great food and definitely great people watching- even spotted a celeb. Will be coming back again.
