    Still worth a visit...

Yes the WC has been around it seems like forever and by NYC eaters fickle standards its passe` and has long lost its cache`, but maybe its now earned icon status like Lugars or the 21 Club. However the interior space is a bit rough around the edges but has aged well with the bar space big but cozy and the main dining room offering one of the best water views in the city.. Oysters and tuna tartare fresh...$ 24.00 three course lobster price fixe a great deal..Juicy big burger and a great molten chocolate cake desert with excellent coffee ice cream desert. The Buzzy O' Keefe mashed potatoes for $ 5.OO still one the best in the city. Great date restaurant. Service a bit slow but ok...So go and enjoy before Buzzy sells it to some developer and another condo develpoment takes its place and makes a memory of a time and place when dining in NYC was a much simpler and less pretentious experience.

    Great food! Best lobster bisque.

This is my favorite restaurant in NYC. I enjoy the atmosphere and the service is wonderful. I've tried the lobster, beef and many appetizers. All were wonderful.

    Good Food/Great Service, Avg. Atmosphere

I had high hopes for this place but they fell slightly short. I would go back but not for a really special occasion. The food was above average, the service was excellent but i had the mindset this place was going to be great. I recommend going at night or at least when the sun is on its way down. I went with my gf on her birthday and had 7:30 reservations. The view was less than desired because it was still light out. All in all, i give it a thumbs up but there are better places.

The view of the water is outstanding. The food is delicious and the service is superb. TWC is highly recommended.

    Leave it to the tourists

Dinner at the Water club was not impressive - the food was not exciting (quite bland), expensive for the quality, and the service was just ok. The only good thing is the view.

    Sublime lunch!

A friend and I had a blissful lunch at The Water Club this week. We were greeted and treated cordially, with genuine concern, yet never obsequious or smarmy. The food was delicious and creative, the champagne by the glass delicious (Perrier Jouet Brut). We were never rushed, yet had attention when we wanted it. I can't wait to go back!
