Not just a view!
Wow - I was expecting a great view, and some decent eats, but the atmosphere, service and food were all amazing, and for restaurant week no less! I had the: Maple glazed shrimp with squash ravioli Caramelized Sea Scallops Chocolate and Hazelnut Swiss Roll Highly recommend the shrimp and scallops - the cod cakes appetizer was good too. Would go with something else for dessert. Definitely planning to go back.

Great food, Great service, Great views
The main reason to come to The Water Club is the view. That isn't to say the food isn't worth your time or money - just the opposite! The Water Club has excellent food, but, it is best to come here for dinner and not lunch or brunch -- and make the evening of it. Linger over drinks and enjoy the food and the view. It's a great place for a date or a group -- just leave the kiddies at home, it isn't their type of place!

Disappointing
I took my Mother to brunch here yesterday, was extremely disappointed. I felt the quality of food was very poor. What I did enjoy was the omelet station and the huge array of desserts was outstanding. Since it is an upscale restaurant, and it is a buffet brunch, they serve you. Well, what a joke this was,; for example, the salmon was cut into very small pieces, they served you one, you had to ask for more. This was actually a mistake since it was awful. The worst part of it was when we paid the check, not sure who he was, headwaiter, ?? He never said thank you. I do have to compliment the younger wait staff who were very attentive. Our waiter could learn from them. Not worth the trip over to the river, other side of the FDR, you really have to know how to find this place, to someplace else.

Sunday Brunch (birthday)
The Water Club Sunday Brunch was simply outstanding!! The service was great! The food simply mouth watering! I decided to take my 92 year old grandmother to brunch with my sister's to celebrate my birthday. I picked the perfect place.

Have been going here for years!
My husband and I have been going to the Water club for years, we love it there! The atmosphere and food are just wonderful! But last monday we drove up to find a note on the door stating that they will be closed on mondays.

great service and okay food
I was there tonight and it was okay... The food was only okay, and it felt like a bit of a tourist trap.

Don't Get Your Hopes Up
I went here last night for my birthday. Food was good - portions somewhat small, but the service was another story. We were never asked intermittently if we needed anything - we had 4 or 5 different waiters - from drinks, to dinner and dessert a different person came over everytime. They had at least 10 waiters for about 40 tables so it shouldn't have been an issue. The maitre de came by once to refill our drinks, which he shouldn't have. They don't leave a bread basket on the table someone comes over and places 1 roll per person and then trying to get that person to come back around while waiting 30 min for your appetizers is another story. Best Bet - go upstairs to the Crow's Nest - you get the view - you can have a light snack and they are much more customer-oriented.
