    Great Time!!!

We went to the Volstead for dinner and drinks after work (a large party). Everything was great the service was fantastic and we really enjoyed the food. It's a really nice atmosphere, and it wasn't too crowded. I would definitely recommend this for dinner/drinks/a late-night scene!

    love it.

I actually think the food is pretty good. The blackened salmon sandwich is fantastic and the southwest chicken salad is also quite tasty. The waiters and bartenders are super friendly and attentive, even when the place is packed after work. The kitchen is open late too!

    service: excellent food: Not Good.

As you enter the Volstead, you are greeted by the hostess, and she takes you down the stairs to a classy, warm ambience. The decor is simple and elegant. The waiters are kind, and seem to enjoy serving you. The food arrives within minutes after you order! As the waiter brings your plate, you can see how they do care about presentation. However the food itself doesn't match the service and ambience, Looks are definitely decieving The lobster roll tasted below average- watery and bland, The plain french fries that came with it was tasteless aside from all of the salt that was on it. The herb calamari: 2 words that describe it: Oily and Salty, Nice place to grab a drink though, if you can afford it. Otherwise, grab a meal elsewhere. Cheers.

    Great after-work spot!

The service, the atmosphere (the music AND the sports games behind the bar- not to mention the dimly lit corners perfect for a date), the cross-section of people, the food and the specialty drinks (oh man!) make this a great after-work spot. I've been here twice and will be back again tonight!

The Volstead Scores high on Everything!

I had stumbled upon this great new lounge as my journeys took me through mid-town. I am an instant fan of The Volstead. From the great music spun by a live DJ to the complex specialty cocktails designed exclusively for the establishment. The ability to get a wonderful assortment of gourmet food until 2am was amazing. If you’re looking for the next great place to go for lunch, happy hour, and late night cocktails look for the 6 foot glass chandelier on 54th St. between Lex and Park.
