Fun for late night, great burgers

Everytime my Dad comes into town, we have to come for burgers! Deliciously fresh sirlion burders with fantastic fries (when they are fresh!) available anytime. Great late night menu and place for a beer or frozen cosmo. Great atmosphere. Casual and not obnoxious.

    Fun place, nice service

Love the viceroy. Where else can you find good food, at decent prices with such a great atmosphere - both decor and hot guys. Highly recommended.

    Less Than Regal

Dreadfully slow and inattentive service for Sunday brunch. The waiter messed up a couple of our orders. The food itslef was lukewarm at best and barely edible. The price was obscene in light of the poor food quality and the poor service. The only plus was the atmosphere, which was hip and cool and was enhanced by Viceroy's huge windows and ample light. But atmosphere ain't gonna fill anybody's stomach. Steer clear.

    Overcooked Food, Poor Service

My husband and I stopped here last Friday night. I ordered the spiced snapper and he had a pasta with crawfish, mussels, etc. My dish was boring - I was surprised at how bland it was! The fish was very overcooked. My husband's meal was a little better. It had a spicy red sauce but overall he was not impressed. Our waiter was unattentive. He came and took our drink order and we said we needed a few more minutes to look at the menu. We didn't see him again for 15 minutes! He was talking to the bartender and another waiter and never glanced over to us! He came across as a bit arrogant on top of that. It took about 20 minutes to get our food even though the restaraunt was only 1/4 full. We paid about $65 for this disappointing experience! I wish we would have saved that money for a better dining experience.

    Great food and atmosphere

The food here is great except for one time i had ordered fried eggs with the yolk solid but they brought it to me with the yolk still soft. The service is decent and the place is crowded but its fun and the workers are very friendly which make it a nice experience. It would be a bit nicer if the tables were spread out more so i didnt feel like i was knocking people around with each movement. The price is right for manhattan and we plan on heading here again soon.

    Well-Deserved Longevity

This place has been here for quite a while now, and I can understand why. It's a great old space, lots of light, lots of charm. The menu has something for everyone, and I've never had a bad meal here. The food is not necessarily the most exciting, but it is tasty, amply portioned, and served up by an extremely nice, accommodating, and attractive staff. The brunch is super, and includes my favorite dish: scrambled eggs served with fried oysters, greens, and cheese grits.
