    Great food, poor service

I've been eating here regularly since it opened a few years back. The food is consistently good and the service is consistently subpar. The recent renovation has made the atmosphere slightly less cave-like, but it's definitely dark and depressing inside. Be prepared to be ignored by the servers who always seem like it's their first day ever waiting tables. It's good to check in with them and remind them what your order is and how long you've been waiting. Despite all this, I eat here a couple of times a month because I *love* the food. Just don't go if you're in a rush or a bad mood.

Come on waitstaff, just try a little

Such a shame that the service is so abhorrent at this place. The food is good, brunch is great. We didn't like waiting 40 minutes for our appetizer though, and especially did not appreciate the lack of concern from our waiter. There are too many other good restaurants where the service is decent to return here.

    Poor service

i only ordered a wrap and it took an hour and 40 minutes. the distance from my home to their 7th ave location is 8 minutes. when i called at 30 minute intervals, all i was told was that there was a rush that night and that it would be here in 5 minutes. i'm a lenient person in general, but give me a break.

    Love this Place!

I have tried just about everthing on the menu and love it all. The one problem is I live in Queens and have to travel all the way to Brooklyn. Please open a location in the LIC, Sunnyside or Woodside area!

    Suprisingly good!

I am not a vegan but decided to have brunch here one day with my vegetarian sister and daughter. It was suprisingly good! The Philly Cheese Steak is great, and I enjoyed my Breakfast burrito. Good stuff all around and I would definitely eat here again. The prices are a great value considering vegan cuisine is usually pricey.

    pretty damn good

not sure what issues previous people had here but this place has some really great options especially for a new vegetarian like myself. food was VERY filling & very tasty & their raw cocoa smoothie was great! i liked the artwork on the walls as well :)

    Not recommended

I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Hero and a beer. The beer came immediately and about fifteen minutes later my waiter came to tell me that they were out of hero bread and suggested a wrap version of the sandwich. I was hesitant but the waiter assured me it would be waaay more awesome. So I said ok and waited for the deliciousness. Twenty minutes later, I began to notice that nearly all of the patrons who had recently been seated were getting their meals, and the zinger is that the fella sitting at the table next to me was eating some other hero offered on the menu. What the heckballs... I was so annoyed. A, I still hadn't gotten my own order, and B, this guy ordered his hero 15 minutes after me and is sitting there licking his fingers with joy while I had been told there wasn't any hero bread left. When my food came, I had the sorriest, measly looking wrap laying next to an abnormally large side salad. I looked back with envy at the man sitting next me barely making a dent in half of his sandwich. I left feeling cheated, ignored hungry. I have not been back since, and do not plan to.
