The V Spot

I've actually only done takeout for v spot, so i can't say about the atmosphere. but as far as the food, i've had a few noodle dishes (good) the chicken chop sandwiche (very good) and the desserts (great!!!). the fries are really good too. i haven't had something there yet that blew me away, besides the desserts, but hoping i will. the people who had bad experiences need to try again, i say. v spot's added to my favorites list for park slope.

I have to say I had an amazing meal yesterday at the V spot. Despite the mixed review I decided to stop by and be my own judge. My meal started with the portabello mushroom and "beef" empanadas appetizers (I shared with my friend) and then the "steak" with rice and beans for my entree. Everything was UNBELIVABLE , it was so GOOD! the beans were probably the best beans I've ever had. My friend had the vegetable burrito wich was stuff with a breaded chicken cutlet, rice, beans and salad served and she loved it too. It was too hot to sit outside but the vspot has a really nice wooden deck garden in the back. The staff was very helpful, down to earth and relaxed, but NOT unattentive, which I like, I don't care for all the fake talk or pretenses. We got our waters soon after we sat down and we never had an empty glass. It was an overall great experience. I highly recommend it!

Food was bland and uninspired. The saving grace, as other reviewers have pointed out, are the desserts - they're from vegantreats.com and you can get them at a number of other restaurants in NYC and Philly . I'm glad to have vegantreats.com desserts in Park Slope, but I would not go to V Spot for their food. They may turn around lso I'll try them again in six months.

This place had AMAZING vegan food! I couldn't believe there was no meat in these dishes! The "chicken" burrito is to DIE for. The outdoor patio adds a great touch for those sunny days. From what I understand, the owner and his family staff, were no in the restaurant business and no they seemed to have worked out any quirks that they may have had when first opened. Overall, the food is great with a really chilled out staff.

My girlfriend and i were so excited to see a new vegan restaurant in the neighborhood, seeing as park slope really needs some good veggie options - but we were in for a disappointment when we visited v-spot. We stopped in during the grand opening to pick up some smoothies and check the place out. The atmosphere was ok - a little dark and the waitstaff was doing a lot of just hanging around. the garden looked nice. so we ordered our smoothies and waited the 15 minutes it took to get my smoothie, but when it arrived it wasn't very good. it was warm and the texture was like yogurt. I'd say skip this place - at least until they work out the kinks. so sad, such potential...

This place has it all! The chicken parm was outstanding. The desserts were to die for! I can't wait to go back.

Had a great experience at the V spot. Came for lunch with a group of friends and sat out in the garden. The owner is very friendly talked to us and ask for our opinions. The staff is also very nice and helpful. Most importantly we all loved our food and the desserts were incredible. We'll be back V SPOT!
