Not recommended
Walked in tonight to pick up take-out eggplant parmigiana and linguini and there were all new faces behind the counter. My guess it the place was sold recently. The food was unappetizing, a great disappointment coming from a place that was always high in standards. The eggplant was swimming in water and so was the pasta. The sauce was, of course, watery, but worse, it was flat and not not of the quality that had been the base for all their dishes, including pasta. Maybe it will turn around.

Good food and service
I've never had bad service or a bad meal here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love the pizza - the crust is thin and perfectly crisp and the sauce has a touch of sweetness.

The ultimate?
Wanna charge me tax on pizza? Slices were okay but the ultimate? lets get serious on 57th street.

Below average pizzas. Stay away from the vegetarian.

My favorite NY Pizza
I live in Chelsea and travel to the Ultimate for a slice of plain or a chicken roll (extra sauce on the side). The pizza is delicious, service is friendly, and prices are reasoanble. When I eat upstairs in addition to a chicken or fish dish, I always get the caesar salad with grilled chicken, which has homemade dressing.

Good local place
On vacation from Florida and found this thru this website. this place offers alot in terms of a pizza joint and is easy to find. We had a chicken roll which was pretty good and we ordered 2 slices of pizza (ziti topped and chicken/broccoli) which were worthy of the 4/5 rating and they also had a jamaican beef patty which was very good. If you are in the area I would strongly suggest this place. I hope to be able to go again to try different slices.LOTS of variety!!!! Only disappointment was they dont offer fountain drinks and just have cans and bottles of various drinks. Tony-FL
