great find
We had to pick up a gift in Macys, of course it was pouring all day today so we needed some shelter and food!! We stumbled upon this freindly irish bar. Bartender, floor supervisor and waitress were a delight, couldn't have been more helpful! made us feel very welcome and involved us in the funny conversation with the regulars. Food was good as far as bar food goes- good burger and wings. Definitely seems like a fun place to hang out... was started to get crowded with the happy hour as we left but we had to leave.. we will be back!!!

Ungood
The other reviewer is correct, that's some skimpy calamari. Also had a burger that was tiny. None of the food is so bad but just everything here I tried was below average. Plus they're priced a bit above average- so too much money for small portions and not great food.

High Marks All Around
Landed at this place by chance - lucky break! Friendly staff, reasonable prices, good food. All the way around it was good value dollar for dollar. We'll be back again and would recommend it to others as they deserve the business.

Food improvement needed
I went here on a late Saturday afternoon, about 5:30 pm. The bartender was a delight. Nice guy, good stories, wonderful sense of humor. He's what must be keeping the place afloat. Service wasn't that great because I think they had one waitress for the entire place. Slow. The food - not good. Ordered fried calamari. I've been in places where they stack it up like there's no tomorrow. Not here. Probably a total of 15 pieces of it. My salad greens were browning. One of my companions had an open-faced pastrami sandwich - on one slice of bread! Hello - open faced means a sandwich that's opened. How can you put it on 1 piece of stale bread? The French fries had to have been cooked in old oil that wasn't hot enough. When you stood them up, they flopped over, and had no taste. The French onion soup was like gravy and the roast beef sandwich was on stale bread with barely enough roast beef for 1/2 sandwich. Would not return if it was a free meal. Food improvement is needed!

Looking for a bathroom
I was running around NYC and needed a bathroom and the spot fit the bill. Went in and had a few pints and a burger and I am hooked. Great time, excellent bartenders. I'll be back.

Great Place!
Ate (and drank) there three times over the "Blizzard of 2005" weekend. Great food, friendly staff. The cream of spinach soup was out of this world, as was the portabello cheeseburger. Would absolutely eat there again! Very convenient to the Hotel Metro, where we were staying.
