Dot points
It's been a while (like a couple of months) since I last ate here (I was invited by a friend to attend in a couple of weeks but won't). Here is why I don't like this place. -sticky tables -Flat mimosa -unclean glasses (at brunch they are always overflowing and just slapped down in front of you) -VERY average food -Rude service (particularly the brunch hostess) -Reservations mean nothing (especially at brunch) -So called "Endless Brunch" drinks really means "Until the cranky hostess boots you off the table after your food took an hour and was JUST barely cleared away." Also, we were told that we could get another drink at the bar, but the bar was so crowded that there was no where to stand, and once again the cranky hostess told us we couldn't stand where we were standing. I could go on and on but won't, I just think that this place is probably the most obnoxious restaurant in the city that only coasts by on the business of those that like to get drunk at breakfast ie: not the kind of people you'd wanna hang out with anyway.

Brunch
So I ate brunch here a while ago, like a couple of months ago and it was an unpleasant experience. Waited ages although my friend made a reservation, then waited like, nearly an hour for our disappointing food (undercooked fries, measly portions etc) but the real kicker was the service and the so called all you can drink. That actually means "all you can drink of what your server remembers to bring you while the hostess allows you to be seated" at this point they shove you to the bar promising more drinks IF you can get to the one bartender before he forgets who you are and charges you. I think our server was doing the best they could but I just don't appreciate having a sloppily poured overflowing bloody Mary slammed down in front of me and then having to clean up the glass myself, but as far as the service goes, my real gripe was with the cranky abbrasive hostess, she was a special kind of rude.

Amazing all around
My friends and I went here for brunch yesterday and all of us agreed that the food, atmosphere, and service were all amazing! It's hard to find good service in NY - people who actually want to make sure you have a great dining experience! The DJ played awesome music as well! The unlimited drinks helped top off our experience! This might be our new brunch place! HIGHLY recommended!

All you can drink brunch
The food is pretty good, especially the burger with pineapple and beet - sounds nauseating but tastes great. But honestly, the real reason people come here is the all-you-can-drink brunch special. The drinks are weak but tasty, and an excellent deal. So much so that there is a line before it opens at noon. So you'll probably end up waiting quite a while for a table, unless you are a party of six or more who has made a reservation. Also, beware, don't buy a gift certificate to this restaurant, because you cannot use it at brunch!

fantastic brunch
i've been here half a dozen times and always enjoy myself. the best part of brunch in nyc is unlimited drinks so it's great that the sunburnt cow isn't stingy with bottomless mimosas! love the complimentary shots (australian style of course). fantastic place. top 3 favorite brunch places in the city.

Brunch rocks
I had brunch at the sunburnt cow on sunday for about the 25th time, my friends and I come here every week without fail. The pikelets are my fav. This is definitely somewhere you should check out, lots of fun and the staff are awesome, it's crazy busy and the DJ on sundays plays good music.

Rude Service & Expensive Mediocre Food
I was at the Sunburnt Cow last Sunday to celebrate 2 birthdays. While everything started off great (we were seated promptly, waiter was nice and attentive and kept our mimosas coming) things quickly went downhill. We ordered right away, but then waited about an hour for our food, which when it came was overcooked and soggy. They advertise a $15 unlimited brunch but several of the options on the $15 menu are actually $20 (a little steep for brunch, even in New York!). When everyone had finished eating, we waited around assuming we would get some kind of birthday cake as we had let the waiter know we were there for a birthday party. It was about 20 minutes (and 2 reminders) before a waitress came over, slapped two pieces of cake on the table (no candle! no happy birthday!), and said "we really need you guys to get out of here quickly. Some people who have a 1:30 reservation have been waiting for 20 minutes." We couldn't believe it! She acted as if it had been our fault were were there so long when we had been kept waiting for our food and then again for our birthday cake and the check (which did not come with shots!). I would not recommend the Sunburnt Cow for your next occasion.
