I love the pork chops. And the brunch specials are great.

There have been restaurants at this location that were really disappointing. I think that some folks just don't realize how good the food is here. I also found the service very friendly. I did not have to wait any longer for my food than I would have anywhere else in the nabe. I will definitely continue to patronize this place.

I just moved into the neighborhood and after reading the other reviews I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go here because I am big on customer service. Really there are hundreds of restaurants in New York why waste my time at a mediocre place. After dinning her I have to say the reviews do not give an accurate description. It should say - Excellent service and great food.- After reading the poor reviews I was slightly hesitant to give it a shot. Well, I think the waitress could tell and she said she was new so she sent the manager over or was so helpful! I appreciated the waitress being honest and sending over someone who could help me and someone who knew what she was talking about. The manager explained to me her favorite dishes and then helped me pick out a really good cocktail to accompany my meal. She was super friendly and took her time with me! I had the red sangria which was awesome, and she gave me a lil sample to try before I bought it! And for food, I started with the crab cake and then had the chicken parm which was a great size portion and very good. I am defiantly going to come back here. I was very happy with the service and my overall meal.

While the food is ok I've waited for 2 hrs for delivery which was then cold and I live 3 blocks away. When I asked to speak to the manager the same girl put the phone down for a minute and picked up again and then never so much as apologized. When I've actually gone in the waitresses were too busy sitting at the bar watching tv and talking to friends to refresh our drinks and pick up the check to bring change, except for occasionally shouting at us from the bar. The space is cute and with proper management the restaurant could probably do a 180. The one good thing the spot has going for it is the portions, which are pretty big and everything comes with two sides which would be more exciting if the food was better.

Just got takeout from here. I had the Penne al Vodka with chicken and mozzarella and I have NO clue why people think this place is so great. The vodka sauce was beyond bland and boring, I'd rather make my mom's recipe any day over this one and also the "mozzarella" was basically a melted pollyo string cheese not what you would expect from a place like this. Just subpar and bland.

My boyfriend and I come here regularly and have yet to be disappointed. We absolutely love the chicken french and the atlantic salmon. There's nothing over the top or fancy smanshy about this place, just good old fashioned grub and service. I feel sorry for the people who have had such bad experiences here, because they are missing out on a great restaurant. I guess you can't please everyone, but alas they have definately pleased us! We will definately continute to order delivery and frequent the restaurant.

We ate at The Spot once for brunch and found it pleasant enough. Since then, we've ordered dinner from there a few times, finding the food mediocre and the delivery times slow. But given the reasonable prices and wide selection, we kept the menu in our rotation. No more. We ordered tonight and were given a delivery window of 45 minutes to an hour. After 65 minutes we called to check on the order status and were told it would be there in 10 minutes. When it still didn't arrive after 15 minutes, we called back and spoke to a manager. She told us the kitchen was backed up and the food would be ready soon. When we expressed our shock and dismay that our dinner hadn't even left the premises, she told us the person who took our order made a mistake and should have told us it would be an hour to an hour and a half. We said we wouldn't have ordered from there if we knew that would be the case. She was unapologetic. During the entire conversation she never once apologized. This place takes the cake for worst service (both delivery and customer) in the 'hood. We can tolerate slow delivery from time to time, but not dishonesty and disrespect.
