My boyfriend and I come here regularly and have yet to be disappointed. We absolutely love the chicken french and the atlantic salmon. There's nothing over the top or fancy smanshy about this place, just good old fashioned grub and service. I feel sorry for the people who have had such bad experiences here, because they are missing out on a great restaurant. I guess you can't please everyone, but alas they have definately pleased us! We will definately continute to order delivery and frequent the restaurant.

We ate at The Spot once for brunch and found it pleasant enough. Since then, we've ordered dinner from there a few times, finding the food mediocre and the delivery times slow. But given the reasonable prices and wide selection, we kept the menu in our rotation. No more. We ordered tonight and were given a delivery window of 45 minutes to an hour. After 65 minutes we called to check on the order status and were told it would be there in 10 minutes. When it still didn't arrive after 15 minutes, we called back and spoke to a manager. She told us the kitchen was backed up and the food would be ready soon. When we expressed our shock and dismay that our dinner hadn't even left the premises, she told us the person who took our order made a mistake and should have told us it would be an hour to an hour and a half. We said we wouldn't have ordered from there if we knew that would be the case. She was unapologetic. During the entire conversation she never once apologized. This place takes the cake for worst service (both delivery and customer) in the 'hood. We can tolerate slow delivery from time to time, but not dishonesty and disrespect.

I am soooo happy to find The Spot. Just moved to Bed-Stuy and this place has been the most quality food I've had delivered thus far. Nice size portions with a great presentation. Thank u...thank u...thank u for delivering to Bed-Stuy.

Came from Long Island to see an exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. Looked for a place for dinner and after reading lots of reviews decided to make a reservation at The Spot. We were 4 people and all of us had terrific meals at terrific value with terrific service. Will definitely go again and recommend it.

i've been living in brooklyn for a year now, and this was the most satisfying meal i've eaten out yet. and i eat out a lot. i had the roast chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. the chicken was soooo succulent and tender. the lemon herb sauce was enough to compliment the meal but didn't overwhelm the food. the potatoes were smooth but also thick. the only thing that could've been better was the green plantain appetizer. the garlic sauce was good but the fried green plantains were a little undercooked. anyway, overall it was a great meal. also very romantic atmosphere with candlelight, but also relaxed enough to visit with friends.

Service is very, very good - you are made to feel welcome as soon as you arrive. Food is really good too, especially the fish. Love the white sangria in the summer. Very cool vibe, happy to have such a great "Spot" in the neighborhood!!

We saw this place a few times on the block but never stopped in. Then one of our friends told us it was under new management so we decided to give it a try and it was excellent! I got the crab cake appetizer and then had the steak special and it was cooked perfect. My husband started with the soup special (mixed seafood) and then had the lamb shank. Both of us loved our meal. We shared a bottle of wine that was only $15, it was a great night and very affordable. I will defiantly be back!
