Get nicer people to take orders!
We tried to order their take out special listed on this website and they really rudely made us aware that it's only for delivery and not take out and that our mistake was Menu Pages problem and not theirs. I really love their food but I will be going to another BBQ place until they get nicer employees.

Not recommended
Went here for lunch with my boyfriend, food was the equivalent to chains in the city. Meat was chewy as if it was microwaved and side orders were nothing special. Im so mad I had to acually pay for sub par food.

tasty
Great music, good amount of food for price, service so so virtue food came out really quickly. Definitely recommend it and will be visiting again soon!

My go to BBQ
Been going to Smoke Joint since they opened. Best ribs and pulled pork in the area and excellent BBQ sauce. Love the sides - fries and Mac n cheese never disappoint and just discovered the collard greens which I have been craving ever since. I have never had problems with the service. They are always super nice there, and lunch on a warm spring or summer day with the doors open is great.

Love it!
I am a big fan of BBQ, I'm not a complicated eater and I love delicious food. The first time I went here was for my bday in August. My friends and I were in love. All my friend can do is talk about their shrimp. Now we are regulars and known by the workers. I dont understand the posts that have experienced bad service because we raved about how fast the food is served and how nice the workers are. A busy restaurant is going to make mistakes. Mistakes can be fixed. Many people are just too uptight. I love the place and so do the many people that keep the place packed.

Delicious and reasonably priced
I was in the Ft.Greene neighborhood and decided to have some BBQ. I was in the mood for pulled chicken so I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and a side of potato salad. The chicken was really more chopped pieces than pulled but it didnt matter to me. The chicken was moist and in a really yummy mustard based sauce. On the side was a little cole slaw and homemade bread and butter pickles. That sauce really made the difference. The potato salad was really delicious as well. Definitely will be back again.
