The best service+awesome food=great time!
Used to love the Smith and was a regular and after taking some time off (no idea why), we ended up at the smith on a wednesday night. Even though we had a wrong flatbread come out and waited a tiny bit too long, the service was outstanding and the food was even better, therefore resulting in a great night. I highly recommend the tuna tartar, the steak salad and the grilled shrimp with jalapeno grits. I will be coming more often!

Never a disappointing meal
I was at the smith last night for dinner and cannot complain. Everything we ordered was great. The burger sauce is out of the world. Dipping the shoe string fries in it is even better!

Best ever
Amazing Mac n Cheese and awesome food. Awesome. Loud atmosphere tho, so if you're looking for total romance, go elsewhere. Or nurse your romantic feelings with a plate of The Smith's Mac n Cheese.

I'm embarrassed at how often I come here for brunch
I absolutely LOVE The Smith for brunch. Dinner is great as well (love the crawfish hush puppies for an app and the salmon entree), but their brunch is what keeps me coming back weekend after weekend. I'm more than a little addicted to their Chicken Sausage and Eggs brunch dish. Sooo good! Food aside, their service is honestly some of the best (and consistently so) I've experienced in the city. Not overbearing, not MIA, they have it just right. I have had two occasions in which my food hasn't come out as I had requested (I'm a little HM with that, I have to admit), and both times, they fixed it right away AND comped my meal all together. When does that ever happen anymore?? Love.

Different Feel
This is where the Ugg boot crowd goes to take their mom to brunch. Not necessarily a bad vibe, just funny to be around those people in the East Village. This is one of the few places that can make proper scrambled

Yummy!
Once we got over an overzealous hostess who promised us a table in 10 minutes and didn't deliver... What a terrific brunch spot in the East Village! The blood orange mimosas are so worth the money but if you are going there for brunch- you can always wait until you get to your table for the complimentary brunch drink. Delish! And make sure...whatever you do...order the homefries! AND...if you love potato chips...get those homefries well done. Dipped in ketchup? Yum. It has been days and I am still dreaming about them!! I had the classic eggs benedict which was good...but get the chicken sausage version...to die for! Great atmosphere, good service, beautiful people, and food I can't wait to have again. Who could ask for more in NYC. Oh yeah!! And it doesn't hurt your wallet either! What are waiting for??? Go!! :)
