rude, inattentive, food was mediocre, service was rude and unorganized. i will NEVER go back. i had the muscles, they were just ok. i went in when they were switching from lunch into dinner. they were more concerned with setting up the new tables with cloth vs. paper napkins over attending to me. i expect my water to be poured and a clean and neat place setting. they left dishes on the table (from the 2 extra settings that were there before i arrived) didnt give me a napkin when i asked and i had to ask for water several times - (not to pour, but b/c i was actually out of water) it was room temperature tap water at that. they have big sinks they fill up the jars with in front of you. they are used to catering to a very different crowd that what i am used to.

pork sandwhich was very tasty and with the kimchi, added great tang. my friend said the burger he had was excellent and in his top 10. the nice waitress kept refilling my soda very often as well.

Went for brunch sat at the bar still trying to figure out how $8.00 omelet, coffee included came out to $16.83....I know Bloomberg raised sales tax, but....

I’m a fan of this place now. The Smith has great ambience, excellent service and good food. Place was busy and happening, but the service was spot on. Above all, I made a mistake on my cc receipt where I put the total amount higher than bill plus tip, and they honestly corrected the bill on their own. I just found out a few days later, and I do appreciate their good service. This is now on top of my go-to list for dinner dates. Their drinks are pretty good as well ;)

I have to say I'm baffled that no one here seems to be talking about how out of whack the prices are at what would otherwise be a fun and satisfying enough joint. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but when a late-night group of us saw the ridiculously inflated prices, we opted to stick to just apps and keep drinking. A couple of hot dishes were cold enough to send back. We tried 4 different items and they were hit-and-miss. All in all would rate as a decent fallback, but not at these prices. New York has too many great places - at a reasonable value, to settle for this highway robbery.

I've come to this spot for a number of different occasions and have been plesantly surprised each time. The food is good, staff is attentive and the managment team is curtious and to be honest...very good looking!

Happened to come here after a movie for beers and ended up staying for burgers. The place is loud, even at a table open to the street, but the service and the food more than made up for it. Very friendly and efficient service, and the best burger I've had in the city (I opted out of the cheese that comes with it). And the best arugula salad I've had, come to think of it. Highly recommend it!
