Best place in NYC
A wonderful (yet pricey) place to go to for a romantic dinner or something to celebrate. Our dinner, from amuse-bouche to dessert, was absolutely excellent, and so was the service! The staff is very knowledgeable: from the wine list to the cheese and tea selection they are familiar with what they recommend. They have the rare gift to make every individual table feel welcome and special, and thus make the great food even more enjoyable.

Awe-inspiring
We went for the lunch of a lifetime. The view was fabulous, the service impeccable. Nothing stuffy or pretentious. I had the lamb shank and the Chocolate Marquise Brooklyn Bridge; my husband ordered the salmon and the almond tart. We raved about both. With a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, we ended up paying about $115 before tip, not something one does every day, but most definitely worth a splurge once in awhile. Locals have urged us to return again at night for a spectacular night view, and we certainly will. We felt it was a very special place and a most welcoming one. Don't miss it.

It would be hard to beat this place.
What more can I add to previous reviews. The atmosphere is fabulous - wonderful views, flowers, music, attentive staff. The food didn't disappoint either - really beautifully prepared and presented. Staff that were attentive but not obtrusive. We had a marvellous time drinking cocktails and having lunch which we ended with a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge - an afternoon that will be forever remembered as special.

A timeless classic
This restaurant is unmatched for its romantic setting. Add to it delicious food and professional and courteous service, and it is a must for a special dinner or just a quiet, romantic evening. Get submerged into its subdued elegance and old-world charm. The menu is somewhat limited, just the usual dishes you will find everywhere, although well prepared and nicely presented. The wine list is also quite diverse and well priced. Go there for the romance, if nothing else.

Beautiful and romantic
Absolutely wonderful dining experience. It's also very romantic. The restaurant was on the water overlooking the Manhattan skyline. You'll see the bridge and boats sails nearby. They also have a beautiful lush garden with lit trees. The food was also very delicious. I would definitely return.
