Great Place!
What a great spot! The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, and so moist and tasty on the inside. Lamb with black-eyed peas was cooked to perfection. Check out their speciality cocktails--the Aviation and Ginger Snap rocked! Friendly service and homey vibe (love the dark red bankettes). I will definitely be back!

Great Experience
I love this place. Staff is friendly and attentive and the food is great. Pretzel and beer cheese, sweet corn soup and lamb t-bones with one eyed peas were washed down at the bar with an incredible twist on the manhattan. Bartender did the ordering and was spot on. I will be back.

Sides Trump Main Courses
I arrived around 9pm on a Friday night and sipped down a well-priced alagash white while waiting about 20 minutes for a table. After being seated, in a small booth, I perused the surprisingly vast menu and enjoyed the relaxed slightly hipster atmosphere. After debating between the hamburger and the fried chicken I decided to order the later. And though the chicken appeared quite tasty it was VERY OVERSALTED! And not only that but the breast was very overdone and though the crust was good, it completely fell off the chicken. But I must say that the spinach salad that accompanied the chicken was DELICIOUS. The nuts, strawberries, and red onions were a perfect compliment to the flavorful salad dressing it was served with. The cornbread was also quite good. So my recommendations would be to order the Bacon Brittle, homemade "chips", and the Hamburger. And stay away from the braised duck leg as it was incredibly tiny!

Unfriendly Bartender
I arrived at the redhead and was impressed with the drink menu - they all looked interesting and delicious. I had high hopes when I sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. However, by the time my drink arrived, I didn't even want to stay and drink it. Don't get me wrong . . . the drink was absolutely delicious. However, the bartender was so grumpy and unfriendly. I will never return based on how unpleasant that man was.

Best Fried Chicken in New York
I am from Mississippi, so that is saying a lot. The fried chicken is better than my mother's, which is tough to admit. The bacon Peanut Brittle is one of the best things I have ever eaten. Washed it all down with a Gibson. Service was attentive, but I had to wait over an hour to sit. Wish there was a bit more space.

Screwed by the host
The host sat 3 groups that we were there before in front of us. Too hungry and mad to enjoy anything by the time we got seated. Woudn't recommend on a weekend night.
