    Great diner breakfast

What a Great & Friendly Diner!

I just don't have words to express how friendly the staff at the Dinner are. They make you feel welcome and at home. The food is awesome, the diner is very clean and well decorated and the prices are right for NYC. I will recomend the Red Flame with no doubt. Go there and enjoy!

    Good Food, but Expensive!

NO DOUBT - Red Flame will feed you well, but you will pay for it. Far from a Mickey D's, Red Flame is a typical NYC DINER... GREAT FOOD and GREAT FRIES... But, with Lunch at 12-15 bucks, it will cost ya. What can I say, in the city where Cigaretts are $12.50, a bottle of water is $2.50 and a one bedroom in the Bronx is $1,100 - it's A-Typical. My rating: A

    No problem at all

Looking forward to going back. In 2009 the breakfast was brilliant; the staff friendly and despite being busy the service was excellent. Full English breakfast available if required, but why not go with what the locals had. It was great value

    Not recommended

This restaurant was located on the same street as my hotel, so we decided to stop in. I ordered eggs, bacon and oatmeal; and my fiancé ordered eggs, bacon and French toast. We sat and talked and after a while we realized that we have been waiting for over 30 minutes. When our food finally arrived, the bacon and French toast were both burnt. Due to the fact that we were hungry and wanted to get on with our day, we ate what we could and requested the check. Our check arrived and it was $31.00. So not only was our service poor, the food was equally unappetizing and expensive. My weekend in NY would have been perfect if I didn’t decide to stop in the Red Flame.

    Atmospheric

We were on our first visit to the big apple and always wanted to experience eating in a real American Diner. We were not disappointed. Although we were staying in a fancy hotel nearby we chose the diner for its variety and economy. Although very busy with New Yorkers having breakfast before work, we never waited for longer than 1 minute. The service was fast and we were impressed by the efficiency and speed of the servers - we couldn't keep up with the coffee were were offered! Thoroughly recommend to out-of-towners.
