Calorie counting vs. eating healthy
There is a difference between eating healthy food and calorie counting. If you are a dieter with a calorie limit to adhere to, you can eat a lean cuisine for lunch and that would fulfill your calorie restrictions. However, that lunch will be full of salt, preservatives, and god knows what else. Like the last commenter said, the pump is for people that want food that hasn't been altered with high-fructose corn syrup, huge quantifies of sodium, saturated fat, and other things typically injected into our food these days. It's not "diet" food it's just healthier.

It is healthy
Okay so I guess everybody thinks brown rice and chili has a lot of calories. This does not mean this is not good for you. The Pump does not add salt to anything which is the main reason I eat here. It leaves you satisfied without being incredibly thirsty. Nothing is fried and mayo is not on the menu. Because brown rice has carbs does not mean it is bad for you. If you are a bodybuilder and are bulking and are eating carbs of course, brown rice is great during the day when you don't want to spike your insulin levels (like after a workout...use white rice). If you are cutting or wanting to stay away from carbs, try their lemon chicken with their lite guacamole - I had it the other day and it was great. I too would love to see their nutritional information, being health conscious, but unfortunately they do not disclose this information. However, I am not skeptical on their nutritional value over many other restaurants. Taste comes second to health @ The Pump, which is why I eat lunch there often. -Mike

Good food but.....
The food is very yummy and healthy, but I agree with everyone who says they'd like to get the nutrition facts. I am a weightlifter and most successful athletes do food journalling and considering Pump markets itself as a place that caters to athletes (with pictures of the beautiful and musclebound dripping off every wall) it seems odd that they wouldn't provide this info.

Don't Blame Others for Your Own Problems
In response to angry dieter ... don't blame others for your inability to be healthy. I have eaten there for years and love what they represent, which is so far from a marketing trick. I had the pleasure to meet the owners who created this from scratch. They eat it, they love it and do this from the bottom of their heart - not some marketing book. Tahini is actually very nutritious food supplying a good source of essential fatty acids (EFAs) and is a healthy alternative to butter and margarine. Just like an avocado but you don't sit down and eat a whole one do you? It's about moderation and HEALTHY choices. Sounds like you need to go back to Ranch and stop point fingers for your health.

I want nutrition information
The food tastes great, but based on the list of ingredients I believe that it's "healthiness" is no more than a marketing trick. People see brown rice and think that they are smart and eat healthy, but they overlook the fact that this rice is poured with Tahini sauce, which is 600 (!!!!) calories per 100g. That's half of my daily calories intake for God's sake. The bottom line: those who are counting calories, watching carbs, etc. - beware. And I believe that Pupm really should disclose the nutrition information in order to support their claim that the food is healthy.

I'm a Pump devotee but...
I LOVE the pump, I eat there all the time - delicious & (supposedly) healthy. But one thing that irks me endlessly is their *refusal* to list the food's nutrition facts in-store or on their website! I love a large portion as much as the next person, but should someone who is watching their weight be eating a large tin full of brown rice smothered in vegetarian chili? How many calories is that? I try to eat well, but I need guidance. I'm no nutritionist, so they should back up their promises and give people an idea of what they're eating so that can eat appropriate amounts. Give some peace of mind. Otherwise, food is fab (Service IS really slow - even though I always call ahead I wait)
