This is why people don't eat health food.
I've gotten several smoothies from here because I work nearby. Last week, I ordered the falafel and boy was it bad! It was loose and not firmly packed like most falafels are and flavorless. I'm not sure what recipe they use but it was lacking spices and texture. It is flavorless and the sauce tasted like Maalox. I've made falafels at home with little or no oil that don't even compare to this gruel.

Price is High. Taste is Low.
This place is the reason why most people hate health food!! I ordered the junior Champion and the Honey Mustard was forgotton, the portion was small for $8.50, I've eaten fresher vegetables. The chicken soup was very poor. I think the ingredients go like this: chicken, dill, carrots, onion, water, and no flavor. This place was a waste of money and by serving tasteless healthfood they are keeping the masses at bay. By the way, I've been here a few times and always thought that it would get better buy I am increasingly and consistently disappointed.

eat healthy
great for a good healthy fat free meal, if you need health food with little or no fat than this is the place to go. dynamite pita is good, the diesel platter and western omelette are the best. try it out. dont go if your in the mood for mcdonalds though cause you'll be disappointed.

Great
If you like just simple healthy food with no additives, then this is the place to go. I love the vegetarian chiliI often mix it with their steamed vegetables, spinach, sweet potatoes and brown rice for a pseudo-rise bowl. So filling, good and healthy. The Big Arms is also fantastic...I often add extra chili and sweet potatoes to that as well. It can get pricey by adding the side items, but worth it when you can't be home to make something healthy. Also, by asking for one of their dressings on the side, you can add a lot more taste without the oil and butter, etc. FYI: I only have ordered from the 55th Street Location.

terrible meat, okay service
I have ordered from Pump for dinner at work...the service is fast. However, both times they have forgetten to include my salad dressing. Not a big deal, I probably saved myself a couple hundred calories, just a little annoying. The vegetarian salads are great. The meat ones are terrible. I ordered the salmon salad...they essentially threw a can of salmon in there (which, the menu does say it is canned salmon), large chunks and all. At least they could have made an effort to make it look like they at least "mixed" the ingredients. I might just stick to getting salads at Bistro - better value, better taste.

You never have to say hold the oil!
This place is absolutely fantastic for eating healthy. I love the turkey burger and chicken with spinach sandwiches. Occasionally the chicken can be a little dry, and the breakfast sandwich is not good at all, but the service is great and the good stuff is so good (yet healthy!) that it makes up for it. Creative dishes and a huge menu. I eat there several times a week, it's the healthiest restaurant I've found in NY for the body conscious. And you don't even miss the oil, mayo, and butter!
