The Pullman Kitchen

The menu here is interesting and the food is tasty. The beer selection is good. The bathroom was unforgiveably neglected, and the stairs leading to it treacherous. The staff seems green, the service uninspired and amateur. With so many restaurants and pubs within spitting distance of The Pullman Kitchen, it's unlikely I'll return.

I stumbled upon this place an a Saturday morning looking for breakfast. I ordered the Austin Breakfast Tacos, a Pickled Mary (their version of a Bloody) and a cup of coffee. Everything was absolutely excellent right down to the fingerling potatoes served beside the tacos. The Pickled Mary, which is basically a Bloody with pickled vegetables, was well made, and met my #1 Bloody Mary criteria of not tasting exactly like cocktail sauce. The tacos were flavorful, especially after a squeeze of lime juice and the coffee was near perfect. I think the theme here is locally sourced type stuff. Anyway, I'll definitely be back!
