Great food!
I just wanted to take the time to recommend The Press Box. I've been visiting there about once a month for the past couple of years. First of all, let me say that this Irish bar is nothing like the frat dives further north on 2nd Ave. It's a friendly, mature crowd ranging in age from 25-60. The staff (and our favorite waitress always greet us with warm welcomes) The interior design is very warm and attractive and the food is much better than your average "bar food." I love the mashed potatoes and especially the chocolate mousse pie. We've never had a bad meal there. The place is also great for just drinks as the front bar is very long and can accomodate a lot of people. Our friends in our building nearby also rave about The Press Box. As for the commenter who said "over-priced" I suggest you check out the online menu and decide for yourself. Perhaps some people would prefer the "dollar shots" pricing in the other Irish bars further north.

Decent Option
Among a sea of bars in the area, this one isn't bad. The prices are a bit steep but the food is OK (not great) and the place is very nice and clean inside (not a dive). The staff is a bit surly but it's good in a pinch.

Great steak frites
I took my brother here a couple of times. We both order the steak frites and it's great every time. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is great. It's good for a quiet dinner or a drink after work.

Great burgers and fun atmosphere
Had a burger there last Saturday and it was outstanding ! Freshly made and not a frozen patty. Waitress was the right combination of friendly while not being overly attentive. Definitely one of the better Irish Pubs in NY. Plenty of flat screens to watch your favorite sport.

Amazing
I have gone here to eat dinner and watch games probably around 200 times. I have never been disappointed.

Pretty good, solid place for a bar
Fairly fun atmosphere and the prices are not bad. I got the mussels and it was one of the biggest piles of mussels I've ever been served. The mussel juice was just okay though. Everybody's food was a little better than average. The atmosphere is pretty good and you can sit in the back if you don't want to sit near the noisy bar. Several tv's playing sports add to the atmosphere. Worth checking out.

Wings
Best wings I have had for some time...Tangy, yet spicy.
