Fun family fare and then some
I went with my wife and 16 year old son after a Sunday matinee. As we had no reservation, we had to wait all of three minutes for a table. The atmosphere was rauous but fun. We shared a long table with another family. Our waiter was cheerful and helpful. We shared a tasty chicken and ginger dumpling, which came out rather quickly. My wife had a burger, my son a flatbread pizza and I the duck gyro. The gyro was great, though very spicy. My wife and son enjoyed their entrees as well. We had cookies and ice cream for dessert with great, strong coffee. With two beers and a soda, this came to around $100. We are planning to return in a few weeks when we go to a concert in the city.

Fun and tasty
I love dining at the Plaza Food Hall! The food is always delicious. The tater tots, lobster guacamole, tuna tacos and tuna appetizer are always fresh and excellent. It is an excellent go to place if you want a nice atmosphere, good food and a crowd. One negative - the service is slow.

Soup experience
I didn't get beyond the soup of the day - Manhattan clam chowder because it was spicy but had a very weak stock so it was weirdly bland. If a restaurant can't make good soup, I leave after that course.

I love this place
I have been 3 times so far, and I have to say that I just love this place! Here are some things I have tried that were all fabulous: roasted chicken pizza with arugula pesto, shrimp and octopus - both from the hot tapas list, bucatini amatriciana, and scallops (not on menu, they were a special). The wine list is diverse in price points which is nice. The service can be quite spotty and it's a bit awkward because you are at a bar so they have to come up behind you. I think the value for the quality and portions is excellent. All in all, I think it's great and plan to go back many times.

The Perfect Restaurant for the Indecisive
I adored the ability to choose from several diverse menus simultaneously. I chose the brandade fritters, those delectable salt cod puree fritters derived no doubt, from a classic Brandade de Morue recipe, which I have unsuccessfully tried to replicate at home. Where else can you enjoy the finest kimchi, sliders, pizza, and quality side dishes in perfect sizes under one roof? After watching the chefs in their respective fishbowls, my daughter and I both felt their tremendous effort and work ethic. We hope they are compensated appropriately for their dedication under such scrutiny.

Great place for a casual meal
Great food at reasonable prices. The only downside is that it's bar seating -- so this place is not great for groups. But for a casual meal for two, it's quite nice.
