    Really Great!!

This Pizza is amazing! You can really taste fresh tomatoes in the sauce and the crust is perfect! I live close by, so I go in often and get a slice and play some pinball or watch the game that they have on a big projector in the back. I've gotten delivery a couple times and even though I'm not that far it did take a while, but it was steaming hot when I got it. I just tried the Chicken Parm and it's easily one of the best I've ever had, they serve it on this Rosemary Focaccia that is insane! This place is great!

Not for delivery (or at all)

Took a chance despite the other reviews advising against delivery. Got a large cheese and hot wings. Don't bother! Pizza was warm/cold, wings that looked like they might've been okay 30 minutes ago were soft/almost soggy. Also took longer than an hour to get to us (11:40 p.m. - 1:10 a.m.). We even popped the pizza back in the oven at 450 degrees for 8 minutes. The crust crisped up again, but didn't help the flavor at all, sauce and cheese are tasteless.

    SpottieOttieDopalicious

The Buffalo Chx is my fave. But the San Gennaro and BBQ Chx are great. Calzones are dope and cheap (ask for Xtra Marinara). Pizzas are slightly expensive so for value rating I only give a 3.5 Never been in, only delivery, (but since this site doesn't have a 'N/A' option, I'll just give 'em a 5 'cause the pizza is that damn good!) Regardless, if you got a few extra bucks in your pocket and don't want the normal run-o-the-mill garbage pizza, do your mouth and tummy a solid a peep the strategy.

    Too much cheese

I agree with the previous review that the pizza here had too much cheese and not enough sauce...but otherwise it was not bad -- crust was perfect and ingredients were fresh. I would still definitely come back, The Ms. Pacman game is a plus, as is the laid back BYOB atmosphere -- you can by some beers to enjoy with your pizza at a minimart next door. I'm a big fan of the big booths, as well as the projector to watch a game --all in all its a great place to grab decent pizza, drink a few beers, and watch a game with friends.

    Little Shop of Pizza

Taking over the premises of an old-school East Village pizza place that was around when the Grateful Dead played the bandshell in Tompkins Square Park, the Pizza Shop is a pleasant successor. The meatballs are superb, but they do run out toward evening, and they won't make more till the next day. Plus the bread, though tasty, is really tough and hard, so be careful if you have dental issues. I'll be ordering meatball plates from now on: just meatballs, sauce and cheese, and assembling sandwiches at home with softer bread. As for the pizza, it's way too cheesy and not saucy enough by half. I was looking for a replacement in the 'hood for the recently shuttered Five Roses, and was hoping this would be it. Nor does the Pizza Shop make pasta dishes. Which is sad. Though the garlic bread is outstanding. The garlic knots are pretty good too. Phone service people are especially courteous, and counter service was terrific. I just wish they'd change the cheese/sauce ratio on the pies...

    Great!

The pizza is delicious and fresh as well as creative. I've also had the sandwhiches which are equally awesome. The place is bright and clean and the staff is friendly. Great place!

    Amazing

I don't think I'd be able to live without eating at the pizza shop at least twice a week. I order any slice that just came out of the oven and I've never been disappointed. The sauce is really amazing. I love this place.
