I've been to PRB for brunch several times. They have an AMAZING drink special, $15 for all you can drink bloody mary's and mimosa's. I started with 2 mimosa's and then had several more bloody mary's and each was made perfectly, and large sizes so you don't have to keep asking for more. The brunch prices are also good with lots of stuff in the $10 range. They never rushed us as we drank and hung out and watched the TV. Also the yard is a great place to sit on a nice day.

My friend Mo and I visited PRB and we enjoyed ourselves. The food was good and the chef was accomodating. The bartender was very hospitable and provided excellent service. The only problem was that they hardly had any liquor. We were told that the owner was out buying it. We enjoyed our time there nonetheless and will come again.

Tried PRB for brunch. We were the only people in the place, which should have been a sign. I ordered Crab Hash, which was a pile of crab meat and undercooked potatoes, topped with an egg and "hollandaise" sauce. The hollandaise tasted more like Russian dressing. I couldn't even eat more than a few bites, and I was starving. My boyfriend ordered Fish and Grits, which was deep-fried catfish in a pile of grits. Much better than mine, and he finished his, but still really bland and overall not impressive. Will not be going back, except maybe to try out the bar.

This is a fantastic bar/restaurant that is definitely overlooked. My Dad ordered the shrimp gumbo and loved it (he specifically told the waitress to tell the chef that he would be serving the gumbo to someone who cooks...) and I ordered the blackened catfish salad which was absolutely delicious. A beautifully cooked boneless piece of fish served over tiny carmelized onions, shitake mushrooms, tomatoes and greens in a balsamic vin. Sitting all by ourselves in the backyard, gulping our super cold beers in the still heat of a July evening, we wondered why no one was here... We'll definitely be going back. I need to try the mac n cheese... which the waitress admitted to eating every day... Overall, one fat YUM for the People's Republic of Bklyn.
