Major Disappointment!
Brunch started at 12pm.Placecards & table #'s were not put out.Everyone arriving didnt know where to sit.Service was slow & disorganized. Some tables didnt get any condiments. They were brought out after we finished eating.Food was cold.Portions were tiny & I mean TINY.The menu consisted of,scrambled eggs, bacon, french toast that was so thin it looked like a square crepe, pancakes that were so thick & dry you couldnt cut it with a fork,no butter.Steak & potatoes.Everyone received 1 piece of steak the size of a 1/2 a dollar & 3 potatoes the size of nickels. The fruit on the platters were not even ripe.I truly believe they didnt have enough food for this special occasion & if they did they sure were very cheap about the portions. There was enough cake for people to have 2nd's,yet it was cut so thin.So embarrassing. The manager was nowhere to be found (hiding I guess). The room was cramped.Everyone sitting next to one another like sardines.Party was from 12-4.Family & friends were leaving at 3pm. Very disappointing to say the least.I would not reccomend this restaurant to my worse enemy.I want to thank my family & friends who were open & honest & shared there thoughts & feelings about this disappointing restaurant. Most left still hungry & had to get something to eat shortly afterwards. Our Grandsons Christening party was far from cheap. It cost a pretty penny.I believe the restaurant owner could have taken some money off the bill.

Birthday Party
We celebrated my daughter in-law's 40th SURPRISE Birthday at the Pearl Room. Not only was the service and food superb, but the staff and the owner and his mother could not have been more accomodating. Extremely ingratiating...The food was AMAZING! what can you say aboout someone who not only gives you 10+ menu choices for a party of 40+ guests, but adds "If there is anything eles you ming desire, if it's in the kitchen, I'll make it for you" That says it all....Thank you Paul, Staff and mom. ...We will certainly be back...I am looking forward to dining in the garden. Disappointing experience
No matter how much famous and Zagat rated Pearl Room restaurant wants to be,I'd like to share my personal experience. My friend and I went for luch on Sunday afternoon,we were having lunch and communicating.Every two minutes one of the waiter's staff came up to us and asked if we finished.I would have understood something like this if they were closing or dinner time was coming. It was around 3 PM,new people were coming, there was a lot of space and their behaviour was very annoying. I don't think I would ever be interested in visiting "Pearl Room" or recommend it to anybody I know!

One of my favorites for dinner in Bay Ridge
I typically prefer to eat out in the city or Brooklyn's Park Slope but whenever the destination is Bay Ridge, I would most certainly default to the Pearl Room. It's definitely one of the best restaurants on 3rd Ave. They have a lovely garden that's open for summer, which creates a very relaxing and intimate atmosphere. The inside dining room is good too and the burning fireplace in winter time makes it very cozy and home-like. As for the food, it has consistently good quality and nice flavors. I always order Filet Mignon so that always turns out well. The restaurant's definitely worth a try!
