    Bad experience!

I took people there who were in town just for the night expecting a great place for out of towners. I was very disappointed, not only was the food bad but the service was terrible. We did not get water or a waitress come to greet us until a 1/2 hour later. Every thing that was ordered the waitress did not come back for a good 20 minutes. A person in the party ordered steak medium and it came well done, she sent it back and it came again well done! The manager said she would take care of us and all she did was send shell fish appetizers to the table which hardly anyone could eat. I would not recommend this place!

Nice decor, decent food, awful service

I think it would be unfair to give this restaurant a "terrible" review because the food actually is very good. But the service is truly subpar. We made a reservation for 12 people for lunch 4 days in advance. There was one server for the entire restaurant for lunch. We were there 50 minutes before our drinks were brought to the table. Many of the drink orders were wrong. When we asked whether they had certain spirits at their bar rather than saying "Im not sure but Ill find out" the waitress simply said "I have no idea" and gave us a dumb as a doorknob stare, as if we just asked her the meaning of life. It took about 2.5 hours to get through lunch. The food came out at all different times, and several plates still sat on the table when we were finished rather than being cleared away. The waitress brought our 2nd round of drinks after she brought us the check because she forgot to bring them with the meals. Its a shame because this restaurant has such a nice decor, good food, and so much potential to be a great place.

    Not good

Once we got there on a Saturday night, no one was there to greet us. Overall, not a friendly vibe. When one of the ladies took us to our tables, all of us got the vibe that she was frustrated with her work. One of my friends claimed that she rolled her eyes right after she seated us! On the contrary, our waiter was polite and attentive. Dinner service was prompt. He made the dinner a little more pleasant - that is why I am giving a 1.0 instead of a 0 for service. Food was decent. The pizza of the day was fresh and delectable; the chef just needs to calm down on the salad topping which overshadowed the bacon bits. The fried calamari was bland. There was more bread than calamari itself. However the sauces provided were synergistic with the calamari. I'll say that 10% of us liked our dish. I gave a 2.5 because of the pricing and the pizza. The bar and the dance lounge was the best part of the Park. Do not go to the Park for the food. Go there for the nightlife.

    Nice Atmosphere, small portions

I went on a Friday night and got a table for 5 reasonably fast. Our party ordered the calimari and crab cakes and those two were not nearly enough to share. The Crabcakes (although good) where about the size of a half dollar and there were only 3. The calamari was OK. I got the wood oven roasted chicken which was delicious but again the portion wasnt very big. The selling point was the actual place which was great. The upstairs lounge that opens at 11:30-12 is a nice place to hang out, dance and have a few drinks.

    nice decorations, that's about it

someone should send chef Gordon Ramsey to figure out what's going on at the Park. 5 of us recently went on a Sunday night, 7:30, the restaurant was almost empty. Our waitress right off the bat was unfriendly, didn't even try to fake a smile, appetizers came in average time, the salad though had wayy too much vinegar on it. The main course for 5 people then somehow took about 35 minutes to arrive, even though there were literally 15 other guests at the restaurant. My salmon didn’t have much taste, asparagus were overcooked. The corn was good though and amazingly the spinach with roasted ginger side dish was excellent, but not worth the wait. My friend had the pizza special and the cheese was cold and tough like it had been sitting around for too long before the food was brought out. I'd go to The Park for a drink on a weekend for the atmosphere and decoration, but never again to eat.

oasis in a dirty part of chelsea

Stumbled onto this place for brunch. The interior is stunning. You don't see very many places like this in the city. The outdoor seating area is huge. It has a glass roof, trees, ivy, even a few small, chirping birds. It was incredible. The waiter was one of the nicest I've had in the city. Food was a little expensive but pretty tasty. The warm banana walnut bread they put on the table is worth the visit alone. I'd definitely come back here again.
