    Bad service

From the hosts to the waitresses - everything is disappointing. The food is at most average. The restaurant itself is pretty and in a nice location, but the service is so utterly dismal, the experience is ruined. So many better places around, don't waste your time here.

    Salty

Tried many different items on the menu with the familly and we all thought that the food was very salty. Service was ok, food all came out too fast still eating appetizers when salad arrived and the same for the main meal. Nice atmosphere. We will not go back!

    Overpriced!

My friend wanted to go somewhere trendy for her birthday, so she chose this place. On the website, the restaurant looked great. What it didn't tell you, however, was that the food portions were so small and completely not worth the price! My girlfriends ordered either crabcakes or ravioli. There were 5 measly ravioli on each plate, and the crabcakes were the size of a dollar coin. Good thing I ordered the "ribs." Although, when you see "ribs" on the menu, you'd expect more than one rib. Nope, not here! They gave me ONE rib on a pile of mashed potatoes. My friends ended up mooching off my potatoes because they were so hungry. Afterwards, we tried to find some real food and ended up eating cannolis and cake at a little bakery. If you're a big eater or value your money, you would NOT go to The Park. If you're a sucker for hip, trendy spots with dim lighting, then by all means go!

    poor service

their food was just okay but the atmosphere was great.. as a waitress myself, i was appalled at the service we received. The waitress had a huge attitude! I never ordered something she thought i ordered, so she hands the food to me, then i said i didn't order this so she says...yes you did and would not take it back! our table was forced to pay for it even though we did not want the item. since it was a birthday we did not want to a fuss and call the manager over and a scene since we just wanted our friend to have a good time and relax, but this is not acceptable. I would neverrrrrrrrr do something like that to my customers. Trust me, I know the customer is not always right, but when they actually are ...you dont make them pay for something they didnt order. you void it and just give the cake to someone in the kitchen, you dont make ur guest pay for it! i just can't imagine doing this.

    Nice Lunch Spot

My friend and I stopped in for lunch on a weekday at The Park. We found the wait staff to be polite and attentive. The restaurant is interesting and inviting. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked and inexpensive. We will certainly return when in the neighbourhood.

    Overpriced, Overrated and Rude

Have to echo the previous review and add the "overpriced" distinction. I'm sitting here with indigestion after eating extremely disappointing yellowfin tuna at Park. After enjoying a fun night of drinks at Park a few months back, my husband and I returned to try the food we were considering hosting a party there, in the garden. We waited several minutes for a hostess to come and seat us, even though the restaurant was nearly empty on a Tuesday night. Immediately upon entering, I noticed the strong smell of alcohol coming from the bar. I don't think that's ever been so noticeable to me at any other bar or restaurant. Once we were seated, my husband ordered a $3 soda served in a small juice glass. On the next round, he asked for a second in a larger glass, the waitress said, "Yes, but I'll have to charge you double." $6 for a pint of soda! My $11 glass of red wine was also served in a tiny wine glass. I joked with the waitress, "Oh, so are you charging me half price for this?" She didn't crack a smile. I expected the food to be somewhat sophisticated, to match the admittedly trendy vibe in the restaurant, but the crab cake was unimpressive—your standard fried kind of thing. My tuna barely edible. Very tough with an odd coating of some kind. My husband ordered a red pepper puree soup that was kind of interesting, and his chicken was actually pretty good. We sat in the garden and I saw a mouse. Forgivable, in an outdoor spot? Maybe, but I wasn't inclined to forgive when, at the end of the meal, the waitress came to report that my debit card was declined (despite having a very healthy balance in my account). Not her fault, obviously, but she took more than a bit of pleasure in letting me know. A fitting end to a meal that insulted my palate and my pocketbook. It's a shame, because the space really is cool.

    Overated and Rude

I went to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We arranged to have a pre-fixed menu for 17 of us. They not only made changes on the pre-fix menu, the food was underwhelming. They never said what the changes were until we got our meal. The mozzarella and tomato was 2nd rate with unripened tomatoes. The pork was tough and served with cabbage instead of the agreed upon sweet potatoes. The pre-fix menu also included dessert with a variety of Strawberries, cookies and pastries. What we received was 2 orders of 6 chocolate covered strawberries, 6 small nickel sized cookies and pastries for 17 people !!!! Also, mysterious objects appeared in our water and it was determined to be coming from the tree near us. They gave us bottled water which we had to pay for. The manager would made no accommodations for us. A friend had to leave to find and ATM and by this time there was a bouncer at the front door. The bouncer gave him a hard time getting back in. My friend had to convince him that he was previously inside for 2 hours and needed to leave to get some cash. He was eventually let back in. The staff was lazy, unfriendly the air conditioner was very low on one of the hottest days in June. Everything that could go wrong did. It ruined my friends evening. We spent $1500 and you would think they would be more accommodating.
