    Higly recommended ....but

Food was great, absolutely no complaints there. The steak was truly a memorable treat, and from the variations I've seen at the table (for 8) everybody loved it. The service on the other hand was not attentive (e.g. setting 7 places at the table rather than the reserved 8, not actually spending the time to listen to questions people had, and not carefully pronouncing the specials/wines). I'd still highly recommend this place to anybody who is looking for an absolutely great steak, the desserts have great value (don't attempt to finish one of those yourself :). The wine menu was extensive, but unfortunately some wines were not available, although those that were available had excellent quality. I hope to go again!

    Disappointed

My boss is a regular here (even has a photo of his family on the wall) so this where he took 9 of his office staff for a holiday meal. With great anticipation, I ordered the 3 lb lobster and it was just ok. I have had better for 10.95 in the village. My co-workers were not impressed with the steaks, I tasted one, and it ain't Peter Luger's, that is for sure. The service was good because they know my boss, the sides are good, the desserts looked good but I did not eat it, all in all, for the price, they need to step it up a bit. The seating is tight & the place is noisy, a typical old school boys club steak joint, what can I say.

    A Life Changing Steak

This steak was life changing. It was one of those events never to be forgotten. It's not cheap - but who cares. BAM! this is good! I ordered it on the rare side of medium rare -- it arrived with an almost black caramelized crust, sweet and crisp, hiding the best red beef I have eaten in a long long time. Nice wine list. Good desserts. Very loud and alive. Go if you can.

    Kinda "meh"... but yummy dessert

The Lobster Feast ($80 for two people: salad, sides, lobster, coffee/tea) is the only thing worth ordering... you get a LOT of food... but I've had better lobster. Mine had too much black gunk in it for my taste. Desserts are awesome, though, and a good value... esp. if you get the MASSIVE chocolate or carrot cake... it's plenty for at least 4 people to share. Also, great, attentive, service.

    Dissapointed

I'd heard great things about the place...and on arriving expected not to be dissapointed...until our appetizers arrived cold -- cold flavorless fried calamari....on to the main: the steak was not tender, lacked flavor, and clearly had not been dry aged as the waiter claimed.

    Not impressed

We went to The Palm expecting a wonderful experience. The food is good, the service is great but it is absolutely NOT worth the steep prices they charge. The atmosphere is rather dull - no music and you are stuck staring at old fashioned tacky caricatures in every wall of dead friends of the original owners..... Everything is a la carte and the servings are way too small....My brother ended up going to a diner afterwards because he was still hungry.
