My boss is a regular here (even has a photo of his family on the wall) so this where he took 9 of his office staff for a holiday meal. With great anticipation, I ordered the 3 lb lobster and it was just ok. I have had better for 10.95 in the village. My co-workers were not impressed with the steaks, I tasted one, and it ain't Peter Luger's, that is for sure. The service was good because they know my boss, the sides are good, the desserts looked good but I did not eat it, all in all, for the price, they need to step it up a bit. The seating is tight & the place is noisy, a typical old school boys club steak joint, what can I say.

This steak was life changing. It was one of those events never to be forgotten. It's not cheap - but who cares. BAM! this is good! I ordered it on the rare side of medium rare -- it arrived with an almost black caramelized crust, sweet and crisp, hiding the best red beef I have eaten in a long long time. Nice wine list. Good desserts. Very loud and alive. Go if you can.

The Lobster Feast ($80 for two people: salad, sides, lobster, coffee/tea) is the only thing worth ordering... you get a LOT of food... but I've had better lobster. Mine had too much black gunk in it for my taste. Desserts are awesome, though, and a good value... esp. if you get the MASSIVE chocolate or carrot cake... it's plenty for at least 4 people to share. Also, great, attentive, service.

I'd heard great things about the place...and on arriving expected not to be dissapointed...until our appetizers arrived cold -- cold flavorless fried calamari....on to the main: the steak was not tender, lacked flavor, and clearly had not been dry aged as the waiter claimed.

We went to The Palm expecting a wonderful experience. The food is good, the service is great but it is absolutely NOT worth the steep prices they charge. The atmosphere is rather dull - no music and you are stuck staring at old fashioned tacky caricatures in every wall of dead friends of the original owners..... Everything is a la carte and the servings are way too small....My brother ended up going to a diner afterwards because he was still hungry.

The New York landmark lived up to it's tradition as my family of 6 enjoyed a wonderful meal. I had the renowned 5 pound bake stuffed Lobster that was great. The steaks and pasta dishes ordered by my family were great. Attentive service. Dessert was unbelievable. The Carrot Cake was my favorite and the fresh Key Lime Pie was the best I've had north of Florida. A "must do" when in Manhattan.
