    Great place for dinner

Enjoyed everything about our dinner - service was great, the food was excellent. - lobster for me and fish for my husband. The manager gave us dessert on the house because it was our first visit...best tiramisu we've ever had. Saw Don King there, too!

    Delish, but expensive

It was the perfect old New York experience! Really good food and awesome carrot cake!

    Definitely not worth it

The Good: - Very good & attentive service - Gigantic dessert portions - My halibut dish was actually quite good (fresh fish, not too heavy on the sauce, good crisp fresh spinach) The Bad: - The filet mignon was not good. This is a steakhouse, right? The meat tasted old (not aged, old). It was overcooked on the outside (not like the nice, crispy outside on the filet at Sparks). It was kinda dry, not moist or juicy. Very disappointing. Certainly not worth $48.

    A birthday celebration to forget...

Recently I was invited to Palm Too by a relative who wanted to take me out for a birthday dinner. Suffice to say, while the wait staff was very pleasant and helpful, the food wan not very good. I ordered the 12 oz. NY Strip, which was just under $40. For a place that prides itself on the quality of their product, it was possibly one of the least impressive steaks I have ever eaten, loaded with gristle and fat. My wife and son ordered a 4LB Lobster for 2, as did my parents. One of the lobsters was clearly not 4 pounds, which we never would have know had we not ordered 2. Overall, Palm Too is overated and overpriced.

    Not recommended

I have been there many times over the years and the beef is either burned on the outside or lacks any salt. Also twice i have been there and ordered champagne, was brought a different bottle at 2X the price (that i did not notice), and then told by the waiter that I did not specify which one (which I did). Other times glasses have been dirty. Once could not get any water for the table because they did not have any water glasses (but of course they had wine glasses). And the noise level is impossible!...I have been to The Palm in four cities and similar issues.

    Great steak, friendly service

A great steak place with a waitstaff that is down to earth. I had the ribeye which was great and my girlfriend had the filet, which was also well cooked. We had great service from our waiter and plan to go again. We even got free dessert and coffee because it was our first time.

Best in and out of Manhattan

I have been going to The Palm Too since I was very young, and I have been to all the big name steakhouses in and out of the city. I can honestly say that it tops them all in my book. The atmosphere is very layed back and comfortable. The waiters are very old school and great spirited. They have a great menu for all appetites, and you don't have to stick to the menu, they will make you anything you want.....anything. Amazing family style sides. Ideal meal: Order of "Half &Half", Chopped Onion & Tomato Salad w/ their delicious homemade bleu cheese, Side of Creamed Spinach and garlic Mashed Potatos for the table, and Filet Mignon (or for the non-steak people, their massive Chicken Parm). I highly recommend it to anyone.
