Very good food with professional service in a way too noisy space. Unable to enjoy this quality of food in such an environment. Go if you are more interested in a "hot" place. Otherwise, forget it.

Not much food for the price

As previously noted, the radish snack was $8 for 6 radishes. This was an indication of how the dinner went. The appetizer was OK. I ordered the suckling pig and two pieces of pork, the size of 2 Chinese spareribs appeared for $35. Others had the asparagus entree and you can count the pieces of asparagus on 2 hands. It took almost an hour between appetizer and entree arrival. The piece de resistance was the carrot cake dessert. It seemed as though they took a slice of cake, cut it into small pieces and served with a few dollops of frosting for $16.

    Just love this place..

So deserving of a wonderful review. These people want nothing more than to make you happy and for you to enjoy your meal. The atmosphere is terrific and the food is wonderful. I love having them in my neighborhood.

    Loved Everything but the Food!

I wanted to really love, well ok, I wanted to really like, this place, and I did, except when it came to the food! The physical space is terrific - great looking, warm and inviting. Relaxing bar and adjacent lowlit "library" was the perfect place for drinks before dinner. Decided to try the radish snack that others had raved about on the internet....are you kidding me? 6 or 7 teensy little butter dipped (?) puny radishes with some sea salt on a wooden plank - do yourself a favor - skip them! As for the food - enjoyed the cauliflower salad - the almonds and grapes all worked well together- the pasta and crab, not so much (too much meyer lemon obliterated and overwhelmed the taste of crab)...now to the big event - the chicken for 2. Way too salty and barely warm...Overall - much ado about nothing, in my humble opinion. It was moist, I will give it that, but so is the chicken I prepare at home. Not worth the cost, and for me it was a big let down. In fairness - the cost of the chicken was removed from the check after mentioning to our waiter that it could have been hotter - kudos to them for that. To end on a more positive note - the staff couldn't be nicer! Water glasses should have been refilled more promptly, but overall, the service was very attentive and an A+. The sommelier was extremely pleasant and very helpful.....even the doorman was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere and servers were all top notch. Alas - Loved the space and the people.... just not the food.

    Insanely Good

From decor to service to food everything was simply phenomenal. I can't recommend the NoMad restaurant enough. Delicious and delightful experience. They even got me to eat and really like sweetbreads. Fingers crossed they don't change their winning formula.

Went a few weeks ago with my friend and were very happy. Having been to eleven madison, I would say it lived up to its big sister's reputation, at half the price. Not cheap still, but definitely worth the experience. Drinks are amazing, food is wonderful. Chicken is great, duck is perfect. Staff going through a few growing pains but so sweet and knowledgeable and attentive. Gets better with each visit. Worth the visit for sure!
