    Yeah Meatloaf!

The Mott's meatloaf is the real deal! great to see it done right here unlike the wanna-be stuff found in diners around the city. Boylans soda a plus too.

    different menu

we tried gnocchi dish had bacon and pork belly, both tasty. steak and chicken good mains. very good use of veggies and fruits throughout. guess changes taking seasonal ingredients very seriously.

    my take

dined last week to see for myself. underachieving service, but darn good food. so 3.5 out of 5.0 for me.

    Who's writing these reviews?

The food is GOOD, not great, not worth OMG-ing about. The chicken is slightly above good. The restaurant itself is pretty and clean, but actually a little off-putting. I'm not one to complain about prices, I do and always have lived in Manhattan, but that being said I'd say this place is a tad expensive for what it is (which is good, reasonably simple food prepared nicely, but that is IT)! The service was very nice, attentive yet unintrusive. The Mott is fine, but surrounded by several far more attractive options.

    Great new eats

Had dinner at the bat last night. Great! Excellent bread followed by chilled tomato soup and roast chicken. Everything was delicious. Service was a bit harried but very attentive. Only drawback is lack of liq lic.

    Amazing Food, Chilled Out Vibe

Wow! Finally checked out The Mott; started with a refreshing chilled tomato soup (perfect for a hot muggy day), also got to sample the gnocchi which was one of the best gnocchi dishes i have tasted; it was smooth and velvety with a nutty undertone—divine. Main course, I had the roasted chicken which possessed perfectly crisp skin and came with amazing mashed/pureed potato and green beans—delicious! I tried my friends' scallops which were also cooked to perfection; nice brown sear on the outside, medium-rare interior mmmmmmmm. The desserts were understated (in a good way). Gorgeously ripe strawberries with fresh whipped cream and also the chocolate cake (hot - yumm) which also came with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Bummer about the lack of liquor license, but once they get it, it's going to be hard to grab a table in this place. A welcomed treat to the neighborhood with a great mellow vibe, relaxed service, and some really fresh artwork on the walls which brings some additional flavor to the surroundings. Absolutely recommend this spot!!

    great food, fun atmosphere

service is attentive and wine sommelier is both knowledgeable and approachable. food was great - highly recommend the zucchini blossoms, duck entree, and roasted chicken. laid-back vibe makes it suitable for a date or night out with friends. the bartender made one of us a non-alcoholic blueberry mojito that was delicious! we will definitely be returning to the Mott!
