    Good but...

The spicy pork meatball is sooo juicy and flavorful but the beef meatball was really dry. I could have used more sauce with my dish and maybe some salt. The waiters there are slow and for the place being really small I don't get why the waiters act like they are serving a huge restaurant. It took 5 minutes to sit down, I was a party of two with one menu took an additional 5 minutes to get the waiter attention to ask for another menu. But overall not a bad place might visit again to give it another shot.

    Wow what a great place

So tasty and very reasonably priced. Great service added to the overall experience. This is a def must go!

Ball Four and Take A Walk!

What a colossal disappointment. Meatball size was okay, but insufficient sauce and they were just not tasty. Frankly, I've had better at the hot table at supermarkets, as well as many a local pizza joint. Bread was decent enough, but the sauce was too salty or weird or something---had a strange aftertaste and did NOT taste fresh. Huge, huge letdown.

    salt overdose!

Tried the new Meatball on Greenwich. Tiny meatballs with a microscopic slice of focaccia! Everything was so salty we didn't finish our meal. Taste? Who knows what was under the salt??? There are healthier choices around Greenwich for sure!

    Just Okay

As a little girl growing up in the L.E.S. with my Italian Grandmother's authentic home cooking, her meatballs were the crown jewel. So, considering myself something of a meatball connoisseur, after having sampled the pork meatballs (way too spicy) and the beef (which, also have pork in them and are nothing to write home about) I am not impressed. Their pasta is terrible (not to mention their gravy tastes like it came straight from the jar) and the other sides I've tried are mediocre at best. On the plus side, their parmesean cream sauce is quite good, as is the bread they use to serve the heroes. As for the atmosphere, I would rather have a frontal lobotomy than have to wait any length of time to sit elbow to elbow with the hipster trash who frequent this one of many L.E.S. "Hot Spots". Overall, the food isn't bad, but it isn't truly good either. Better off getting invited to a real Italian family's Sunday Dinner...now THOSE are real meatballs!

    Disappointing

This was kind of disappointing. Meatballs are ok. Too loud and noisy and trying to be too hip. Meatballs are cheap to make so i dont know why people say its a good value. Save your money for chinatown which is only a few minutes south.

    Sort of disappointing

So...I was told by many of my food connoisseur friends/chef friends, as well as reading numerous food critic reviews and seeing them featured on the Food Network, how wonderful and amazing The Meatball Shop was....However, I was sort of disappointed. Firstly, I am Italian and not only have I been told that I make great meatballs, but I come from a long line of excellent chefs/cooks who make amazing meatballs. I have to be honest, they were just eh....I won't say they were horrible, because I would be lying, however, I can tell you that aside from their really delicious "homemade ice cream sandwiches", I will not be returning.
