    we love the loop!

The Loop is our favorite local place & we're so happy to see it doing well. The service is great and really knowledgable. They make great recommendations. Must haves: Big Man and Cancun rolls. They're out of this world! Even the yellowtail jalapeno appetizer is delicious. We also tried the Tuna Pizza app and couldn't get over how fresh and amazing the tuna was. Great little spot for reasonably priced, really special rolls.

    Good but not great

With all the 5 star reviews here I decided to try it out. After seeing other diners getting their food I think I may have missed out by not getting any appetizers. Instead I got a few of the specialty rolls. They were creative and had had great flavor. The rice was good but a little dry for my taste but half of the rolls were falling apart as I tried to pick them up. As far as I could tell from the rolls the fish was very fresh and tasty. Would go back again to get some nigiri and try the ceviche since their fish was fresh and it looked delicious.

    Lost: 4 Socks

This place blew our socks off! Their innovative and supremely delicious sushi rolls are out of this world. Don't miss the delish Big Mac and 8 Crazy Nights. Reminds us of sushi you find on the West Coast. Best we've had in the city yet. Prices are reasonable too. Counting down the days until we go back...so tasty!

    Like a neighborhood Nobu

Don't be fooled into thinking The Loop is just another corner sushi joint. Yes, they have the usual spicy tuna rolls, and they're excellent -- but The Loop is more like Nobu or Morimoto, with brilliant, cutting-edge Japanese cuisine. The only difference is that it costs about a third as much! Go. Order the tuna pizza and the fluke miso. You'll be glad you did.

Why is there no line out the door??

I love this place!! The servers know me as the girl who always orders the Angry Blue Crab Roll or the Chirashi... I can not believe how delicious, fresh, well made, and inexpensive the food has been every single time that i dine here! I have tried sushi all over the city, and this is by far my favorite place. I bring everyone i know here and I have never had anything but an outstanding meal.

A little piece of Japanese heaven on 3rd Avenue!

My husband and I went out for a quiet meal one Wednesday night after work and discovered a hidden gem... The Loop is a cozy yet stylish restaurant, with friendly and very knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food is without doubt the best Japanese food I've eaten - beautifully presented and extremely innovative. On the menu you'll find familiar items prepared with a culinary twist and a long list of signature rolls which are both inspired and delicious. Amongst our choices were light shrimp tempura, flavorful shumai, melt-in-the-mouth eggplant with miso, and a Big Mac signature roll which we were encouraged (by the chef...) to eat with our hands! We left full, satisfied and with only a very small dent in our wallet. We will definitely be going back!
