This is probably one of the most creative japanese restaurants in town but also the most underrated. The rolls have lots of ingredients and the result is an explosion of flavors. If you like to experiment, this place is for you. We especially like the killer scallop roll, in which they use a torch to slightly cook the scallops on top. We don't usually order regular sushi or sashimi there. We stay with the inventive rolls and crispy rice and rock shrimp appetizers. The rolls are pretty filling, we actually nick name this restaurant the "monster sushi place". I know there was or there is a restaurant with this name in manhattan but I think Loop deserves the title. (Look for the Big Mac roll!)

Overall the food quality at this neighborhood sushi joint is good but the service during the latter part of the lunch service is atrocious! THE waitress wouldn't give you a menu if it isn't asked for. Gave me my check while I was still eating and had the nerve to take away my plate just as I ate my last sushi. Constantly asked if I was done. Had to ask for napkins and chopsticks, perhaps fingers would suffice. No point in eating very good food when you're pressured out. Never again!!!

Wow. I work in the neighborhood and just ordered from The Loop, the spicy tuna and tempura rolls are delicious, a little small but perfect for lunch portion . Nice size lunch salad too. Food was delivered within 15 mins... very happy. quick, delicious lunch! Yum! Definitely recommend!

I ordered from here on the advice of a friend and all the quality reviews in the below...I wound up ordering 3 rolls and miso soup. but I was really suprised how small the rolls were, additionally there wasnt very much rice on them either. The fish was ok, but not overly flavorful or fresh, the soup was standard and while the price wasn't awful, it wasn't a bargain either. It was a servicable alternative if in a bind for sushi, but there are much better places in the area. It was a shame too as I was expecting amazing things.

Read all of the great reviews so I ate dinner there Friday night-ordered three inside out rolls-there was zero rice in the rolls. My friend had the same complaint-we were starving when we left-the rolls were the smallest I ever had-would never go back!

Delicious and creative sushi rolls. Best sushi I have had in NYC in a long time. The fish is fresh and the presentation is beautiful. A gem

This place is great! I have been trying new sushi places for months now trying to replace Mizu Sushi since it closed. The Loop has so many different rolls and options! You will love it!
