three of us ate there for dinner. we had reservations at 5:30 and were seated immediately. service was good. atmosphere was good but very cramped. we had the cavatelli (which was good), the roasted fish (beautiful presentation, bland taste), and the halibut (also bland). with 2 glasses of wine and 1 appetizer it was $150 with tip. It was not worth the price.

Some of the best of the "New American" variety in the city. Great vibe, great service. Truly outstanding food. Put down that subpar cupcake from Magnolia and eat here.

I am not exaggerating and i am not a wide-eyed tourist - i live in this city, eat out often and know a great meal when i see one. Each dish, each course was better than the last one. Lobster ravioli, duck with risotto, cavatelli and stuffed clams - everything was super delicious, inventive and served with great attention and care. It was my husband and my anniversary and Joey served up a beautiful, memorable evening for us. The wine selection and desserts (chocolate souffle, pumpkin pannacotta) were incomparable too. Thank you, Little Owl - we loved every bite.

We went for lunch on Tuesday, not that busy, they sat us right away. However they didn't care to tell us the specials, and seemed to be rushing us. We wanted dessert and asked for their soufflé. They said they couldn't do it bc they had another reservation coming in. Fine, so we ordered something else. Then they asked us to MOVE to the bar because there other reservation was EARLY?? Great, so we didn't get the dessert we wanted got nothing. Didn't bother to see if it was okay. We got the pear Bosc dessert. It was dry and bland. The burger was okay, dumont burger is way better. Trust me, they don't seem to care much about people in their twenties.

Having been to the Little Owl twice, it is my pleasure to sing its praises. The main courses were delightful. The side dishes bring the meal to a new level of pleasure. A real treasure.

Food was very good. The ambiance is wonderful. Service was excellent. Only downside is that I couldn't go back sooner because you need to make a reservation about a month in advance.

Still stuffed from my dinner tonight. Everything was fantastic- the ricotta cavatelli, meatball sliders, pork chop, halibut, desserts ok - didn't like the blueberry cobbler. Service wonderful and warm. Highly recommended!
