The Little Beet

Everything is much too salty, which is a shame because I would like a healthy option for lunch or pick-up for dinner. During a non-busy time while I was watching them prep salmon for my order, I saw how much salt they put onto it. Another time, when I asked for no added salt (to meat; since the vegetables are pre-prepared, understandably they can't make a batch for me), it didn't seem to make much of a difference. (Maybe they ignored my request, I'm not sure.) Anyone who likes food knows that overly salty food is the highlight of bad food. Okay, maybe that is going too far in this case, it's still more edible than other places, but I wish they would correct this defect. And it's relatively expensive for what it is; so the food being too salty is adding insult to injury.

Finally, a yummy healthy meal in midtown.

For someone who has worked in the neighborhood for 8 years, The Little Beet is such a treasure! Yes, it's slightly pricier than getting a ham and cheese sandwich, but look at the quality of products that are being used. Everything is gluten free and the protein / side options are excellent and ever-changing. It's long overdue for midtown to have a health conscious, delicious spot like this. Keep up the good (& yummy) work!

This is an overpriced salad place. And, while the food is good, I can't justify spending $15 on lunch or $3 on a cuppa drip coffee. And, even if I could, I don't have ten minutes to wait while they make a salad. Get your act together.
