    "magnifique!"

Personally, I cannot relate to the negative reviews- my friends and I had an amazing dinner of monkfish and the lamb at the Kitchen Club. Definitely a busy, lively place. Sometimes there was a wait, but we had such a good experience we were in no hurry. The friendly owner is delightful- not to mention Chibi, whom we actually came in to see!! Be sure to make reservations, because other people love it too. We signed up for a dumpling class next week.

    Service

I can't comment on the quality of food because we didn't make it that far. After being seated outside, we waited for 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. When another waitress stopped at a nearby table she asked if anyone had been with us, we said no and asked for menus. Five minutes later still no menus and no sign of a server, so we got up and left.

    disappointing brunch

my wife and i have tried this place before and it was ok, two weeks ago we tried it for sunday brunch and we were shocked. the dumplings were rubbery and seemed at least one day old, the eggs with mozzarella was actually 2 cup fulls of scrambled eggs and a half slice of mozzarella cheese. the waiter was slow and bothered and at one point he asked"can i get you anything else?" i answered yes some black pepper, 10 minutes later i had to go get it myself. the lady who runs the place is very nice but she really needs to find a better manager.

If you want way over priced sub par Asian Fusion Food

The atmosphere and service was pretty good, but that is about it. The food, I mean maybe if you have never had asian food, it could be alright. But when I am paying $100 per person for drinks and a decent meal, I expect at least average for to say the least. I had the Black Miso Cod, and this is one of my favorite dishes and I have had this dish at many different restaurants. First, I was so shocked to see a tiny little fish, and the meat is so unfresh (which makes the fish meat all mushed together), usually good black cod is suppose to peel off slice by slice. I was expecting to pay $60 bucks or so for the atmosphere, but when it came out to be $100 I was shocked and pissed off. I will never go back and would not wish my experience on anyone. Also the dumplings that people rave about, I don't think these people have ever had Asian food or good dumplings. There are lots of good restaurants out there in New York that serve much better food for half the price. Don't know about you guys, but if I am paying $100 per person, I expect at least average food

    Fantastic Dinner

I went to dinner at The Kitchen Club on Saturday night with a good friend and my husband. We had the best dining experience. The owner is so friendly and gracious (her dog Chibi is adorable). The service all around was very attentive and our food was fantastic. What strikes me is how many times we have talked about the delicious food since we left, which is something we hardly ever do. We had 2 types of dumplings (the pumpkin and edamame and the duck) - they are insanely delicious. My friend and I both had the miso cod, which was phenomenal, and my husband had venison - he said it was the best venison he has ever had. I cannot express how good the food and service were. We will be back multiple times!

    Delicious dumplings but very expensive

The dumplings were to die for. However, I wasn't too thrilled with my main course, Tastes of Japan salmon box. We paid $500 for a dinner with appetizers and drinks for 3 people and left hungry. We ended up going to a diner afterward. It's a great place as long as you have deep pockets and aren't too hungry.

    Wonderful Evening

I took a friend here for her birthday. The server and owner (and her dog) were attentive and sweet. The food was so good! I can recommend the appetizer sampler, the miso cod, and the linzer torte (as well as specialssteak with bacon and the super yummy custard cake.)
