nothing special. good bar scene
food was sorta bland and the bar was clearly the draw. the caveat is that they seem to need another bartender considering the crowd and the fact that they have serve the people eating there as well.

Not much Aussie about it...
.. besides the beets (or beetroot as us Aussies call it) on the burger. However if a place is going to proclaim itself as serving "Australian fare", where are the meat pies and sausage rolls (and the fried egg on the burger)? If the place actually removed reference to the fact that it served Aussie food, it would be another decent, American restaurant/bar. I did try the pork belly there once, and it was amazing. Food is priced a bit on the pricey side and even though the burger was good, it wasnt mind blowing and definitely lacked any authentic Aussie flair.

What if.....
What if the food were actually near-authentic Australian? I would have found myself satisfied. . . Loved the service and atmosphere (though a bit "high-maintenance" for an Aussie crowd - not to mention - the acoustics in this place scream terrible. Do NOT come here if your plan is an intimate chat). The food: plain bland and blah at best despite presentation. More like bad French food (as in sans flavour)!!! And the wine list left THE quintessenial handful staple amazing Aussie wines off for any of those that are in the know. Really, there were hardly any great representative Aussie wines compared to the bulk of the list. Come on guys! Get it together!!!

very disappointing
waiting 1 1/4 hrs for the table (with a reservation!!). food average. atmosphere like a bar not a high end restaurant. not going back.

good taste, bigger portions please!
The food We were seated immediately with a reservation. The food was delicious, but the portions were very, very small. I ordered a chicken dish that said it came with mashed potatos. When the entree arrived it had barely a smear of potatos on the plate. The chicken portion was very small as well. The restaurant was very loud, difficult to have an intimate dinner and carry on normal conversation in. I liked the room a lot, The tastes of everything was delicious but the small portions and noise levels would stop me from giong back.

Loved it!
We had a reservation for 6 people and were seated immediately. Atmosphere was very lively, if anything, a bit too sceney. Our food was great the mushroom risotto, the shrimp and seaweed salad, the lamb, ribeye and mac and cheese. Get the cheese plate for dessert! Would go back in a second, even though i'm not a big fan of the communal tables.

Disappointed
After hearing all of the hype I expected alot from this restaurant. I even ordered the most popular dishes - the lamb chops and the goan fish curry - unfortunately - the experience only left me disappointed. The service was rushed, the lamb chops more fat than actual meat and the fish curry was tasteless and dry. Don't waste your time or money here.
