Great crowd, great food
This is a wonderful spot for the 30's-something, professional crowd. Beautiful waitstaff, fantastic food and good bar area. As for being loud, I didn't notice it to be imposing. There are louder places I have dined. I'm a fan and I've been like 3 times this summer.

Great barfood and atmosphere
Yeah it's a little loud but don't go for an intimate date night. The atmosphere is fun and the food is of good quality. My wife and I have now been twice, once just the two of us then brought friends because we liked it so much. GREAT burger with truffle fries that are to die for. The sticky toffee pudding with parsnip ice cream is up there on my list of favorite desserts. Expect good food, good drink in a fun and lively atmosphere.

Great night out!
we live in the neighborhood and I've been wanting to go to Kingswood for a long time now..but heard it was really loud. We finally made it down after hearing that they had changed the ceiling to deal with the sound. I must say I like to have a conversation with the people I dine with. the maitre d was super friendly and our server whom we knew from another restaurant was charming and terrific. the scallops were amazing and we also loved the lamb. the bar gets lively later on! really, fun night. will def be back!

Loud!!
The reviews about this place being loud were spot on. I went to Kingswood last Friday and literally I felt like I was in stadium. I lost my voice when I left the restaurant. It's a shame too because the food was very good and the service was pretty decent given the crowded atmosphere. We sat at the communal table upfront (which was WAY too close to the bar), and not only are you fighting the noise from the packed bar, but you have to scream to have a conversation over your neighbors who are literally sitting on top of you. All in, good food, but not recommended if you are trying to enjoy your meal or hear your friends speak from across the table. Would only go back for drinks at the bar.

Reviews were right... This place is loud
I've walked past Kingswood during the day several times and always thought it looked so chic, so I finally headed over with my boyfriend for a chill Thursday night dinner.... Although we were fortunate enough to get a table without waiting (around 8 pm), the tables were SO small and crowded that I felt like I was eavesdropping on others' conversations without even meaning to. They were like tiny french cafe tables... the kind where you just have a cappuccino, except all mere inches from each other, and somehow expected to hold full meals. Oh, and I should have heeded the many reviews complaining about the noise. This place is LOUD. I am not kidding. I can handle a loud restaurant. They can really be a good time. However, this was just a joke. I couldn't tell you 70% of what the waitress said to us if you had a gun to my head. I don't even know where the noise is coming from. It's like everyone is just shouting over each other for no reason. So bizarre. Anyway, on a positive note, the restaurant itself was beautiful. The food, though just short of being worth the $$$, was quite tasty - but I should mention it is greasy. Excessive use of oil in everything we had. It's easy to make food taste good when it's so greasy! Overall, if you really want to check out Kingswood, I suggest just going for a drink at the bar. It certainly looks like it was meant to house a mingling/socializing scene, and the people around the bar are dressed up and looking to pick up.

Poor Service
My girlfriend and I had eaten here once before and enjoyed the atmosphere, so we decided to take some friends out last night for dinner. The place was pretty busy, so we weren't surprised that there was a "30 to 45 minute wait" when we arrived. After waiting for an hour and fifteen and checking in with the hostess several times, I finally asked for another estimate on how long it might be before we sat. The hostess had the audacity to say, "sir it should ONLY be about another 40 minutes." Great place to grab a beer for the ambiance, don't waste your money or time waiting on food... it isn't even that great.

accoustics, please!
I love this place, but after eating there for the 3rd or 4th time, I don't think I'll be going back. I intentionally booked early (7 p.m.) to avoid the noise, but we were still unable to have a conversation because it was so LOUD! We eschewed dessert because we just needed to get out of there. It's quite popular, so I doubt they'll miss our business. I'll miss going there, but I like to be able to talk to persons I'm dining with.
