Quality food and service don't coexist

I just returned to the office after having lunch with a couple friends. I must say that I've never contemplated with a group of friends about considering leaving a 10% tip before, but we had by far the poorest service I can recall from a restaurant that

    Amazing

Food here is super fresh, delicious, and inventive. Expensive but you get what you pay for in NY and this place is well worth it! Excellent atmosphere and service too.

    Why the lines?

After waiting an hour to eat these small plates in uncomfortable seats I realized this place has the city fooled. Why o why is this place so popular? People must have too much money or time or both.

    Too much SALT!

    Too cool for words

which is fine, if what you want in a restaurant is to be able to say you've been there. The seating is uncomfortable, the food is sickeningly rich (weird for a fish shack) and the prices are high, considering that you won't want to perch on those high sto

    Cool

I love anything that has to do with the Ace Hotel and JDOB fits the bill - cool place with cute guys (think stylish hats, vests and sneakers), fun food and a celebrity chef. What's not to love?

    Yay for JDOB!

This place is so cool - it is packed with really stylish people and they serve fun little plates. Make sure you have somebody to pay for you. Also, be ready to wait for a while, but it is a great experience.
