The John Dory Oyster Bar

This place is so cool - it is packed with really stylish people and they serve fun little plates. Make sure you have somebody to pay for you. Also, be ready to wait for a while, but it is a great experience.

Please save yourself from this awful restaurant. I am a NY-er, and completely used to outrageous prices for food and drink, but the John Dory tops them all. For $50pp, we had a few scraps of mediocre fish and some rolls (yes, we actually PAID $4 for $3 measly rolls). We left there so hungry, we had to have a piece of pizza. Not only that, but the service was atrocious. We had to get our own menus after waiting for over 3o mins, send back dishes that weren't ours, and get up to ask for the check. Lovely atmosphere, but that's about all.

I just came from lunch there. When the waitress tells you that the plates are small-believe it! I had Trout and and Oysters Rockefeller with a beer. Thank goodness I ordered a beer or I would be starving. By not going, you're not missing anything. How could they not have any soup?
