    Used to be good

Used to love this place--the service has totally gone downhill and it's starting to smell like all those other East Village bars. It's a shame.

Sit at the bar if you like group conversation

Every single time I've gone to this gorgeous little place I've made half a dozen new friends. The entire bar is always engaged in conversation about something totally interesting. I recommend the cider and/or beer because the wine, though absolutely perfect, is a little pricey. And they don't really do food but they have some delightful hors d'oeuvres (hot nuts, olives, cheeses - yum). You must check them out. Great place to drag out-of-towners due to the incredibly friendly atmosphere. The music's even good.

    My favorite neighborhood spot!

This great cozy bar is my favorite in the East Village. It is the type of place that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. Either cozy up to the bar, or snag a romantic table in the back to enjoy a glass of wine. The varied wine list makes you feel comfortable not knowing much about wine (like me) and the food is a perfect light snack or early dinner in the summer. I love the ambiance, the wonderful staff and the kind and attentive owner.

Cool place in the east village

Great place to chill and get away from it all. Nice music too!
