Treat Yourself
The atomsphere is perfect here very trendy and chic. There is live music here and the food is amazing. I tried two different shrimp dishes and they were excellent. If you want to treat yourself or someone important to a special time this is the place to go.

I expected a lot more
I went there last night to have dinner with a few friends. When I got there the host in the front was rude they should fire her. The atmosphere is a great. Our waitress was awesome. But the food was nothing special. My friend didnt even finish her dinner. I wouldn't come back here again.

Great atmospehere. Poor service
Waitress was very impolite and rushed us on our meal. Group of us went out and celebrated a birthday. We felt rushed, she messed up on a few orders, and tried to give us bill without letting us order desert. Food was good. But next time if ever again I will stay at the bar.

Great place
This plase is a great "go to" place on a date or with a bunch of friends. Very nice environment, very good service, ok food but really good drinks. The price is also very reasonable for NYC.

Sum it up with "eh."
Well, where to start. The decor of The Hurricane Club is good, albeit a bit clubby. It's definitely going for a trendy NYC place. That's the best part of the place. The mediocre part of the place is food. The dishes we had (sweet potato waffle fries, cashew chicken, bangkok stir fry chicken, coconut rice) was just ok. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was nothing spectacular. Perhaps we ordered the wrong things, but the food left a little to be desire, and the coconut rice was far too sweet and creamy. The cocktail menu is inspired, however, and we really enjoyed our drinks. Now to the bad part: the service and the price. While our waitress was lovely, the host staff was absurd. They were all in the tiniest dresses with 6 inch heels and somehow 4 girls couldn't manage to seat us at one of the 50 open tables when we checked in. They made us stand there, at the desk, for 5 minutes before taking us to the farthest part of the restaurant where the scene was not as fun. The price of the meal was a bit absurd. A tiny portion of shared coconut rice was $12! There are better and less expensive places to spend your time and money.

Tiki Bar Meets New York
You would probably never even notice the Hurricane Club since it seems so "enclosed" just by walking past it. Once you walk in, it's pretty impressive and reminds you of the fanciest tiki bar you've ever seen- fitting for New York City, of course. The service is very attentive and friendly, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the Fire Eater burger. I really tried to NOT eat the whole thing (afterall, it is bathing suit season), but it's too delicious to put down. Would definitely recommend this spot.
