I was so looking forward to this place

I don't mind spending $200 for dinner, it just has to be worth it. In our one experience, it wasn't. The tuna was chewy, the waiter unhelpful with wine selection, the hummus expensive. We won't be returning, and we had hoped to have a new neighborhood restaurant so we're a little bummed about it.

    Great night out

I went to The House with two friends this last Saturday. We live nearby and always thought it was a cool looking place. It turned out not only to have great atmosphere but amazing service and food as well. Our waiter was attentive and the bottle of Proseco we ordered was one of the best I've ever had and reasonable as well. The food was a great mix of classic Italian and new American. The pasta dish I had as my entree was amazing. All in all, a perfect dining experience!

    could use an attitude adjustment

The food was fine -- big, tasty portions. The repeated problem was the service, which ranged from indifferent to rude and offensive, by the apparent management and the waiters. The boys should decide if they can handle and really want to welcome and serve all kinds of customers.

    Poor Management

They intentionally overbooked us for the upstairs dining room and with essentially no notice gave us a choice between the crowded bar level or the dark, hot and overcrowded kitchen level. Unaware of the conditions, we chose the kitchen level. The waiters were overstretched and left us with minimal service and attention. Management had a haughty attitude and offered no help. The management and our waiter were disappointing, the rest of the waitstaff was good.

    Almost Perfect

On Saturday, June 16th, I had the oppurtunity to have dinner at The House, with my boyfriend. We had a upstairs table, and the from the minute we walked in, the staff provided top notch service. The atomosphere was great. The only complaint I have, is the kitchen staff has to pay attention a little more to special request. I requested my tuna to be medium to well done, Vs rear. Our waiter promptly returned it to the kitchen to have the cooked the requested way. All I can say is that the food here is great, and I would have given them 5 stars, if not for the mistake of the kitchen. I will definately recommend The House to any and everyone to eat at.

    Cozy; very romantic

Great wine selection. Very cozy- they have a fireplace so this place should be romantic during the winter. Good food. You can sit outside or inside and just have drinks.

    Cute place, poor service

I have now gone to this restaurant 4 times. The first 2 times were pleasant experiences. The last two not so much. The food isn't good enough for the waitstaff to be as snobby as they are. Plus the service was not good the last two times. Just not acceptable. I would maybe swing by this place for a glass of wine and an app, but would never plan an evening around this restaurant again.
